Prize Money Looking at the prize money on the mock cheques, if they move the decimal point one place to the right, WOW it will do wonders for badminton and the smiles from the players will be bigger !!
The downside to the bigger pay check, the more you will have to pay to watch the game. Hockey game cost over CDN$100+ :crying:for a good ticket/seat (some RM$300+), due to the high players pay check (in the millions for contract). This is a catch 22 situation.

Where would more prize $$$ come from.. ..sponsorships, companies & even broadcasting contracts could help a lot in that too. Tix prices would be raised but shouldn't be much. Imagine if they jack up the ticket prices but there are no sponsors, companies & tv broadcast contracts to help out, the prize money would stay relatively low while possibly turning fans away.
singles 5X doubles prizes, and 16X the XD prizes. must be pretty boring to watch their doubles/XD matches
Actually, nowadays in badminton, the MS, MD, WS and XD are pretty exciting and should be allocated about the same prize money. Imagine only US7,600.00 for the runners-up and to be shared by 2 players. As for WD, not so sure about the excitement if all finalist are from the same country.
