Go for Gold !!! Tan Fook !!!

Damn ! How could Candra and Limpele allow themselves to lose to a pair whom they usually could defeat with their usual partners. Anyway, Tan Fook is my favourite player and I would definitely hope he could excel in this tournament before attaining greater heights at Athens.

And I would appeal to all who catch Malaysian channels, e.g. TV 1 and 2, to brief me about any live broadcast. Thanx !!!

wow. that's a big one! they were slated to be one of the favorites. i am sure LiYB will be steaming again.

the MS race between the 4 Chinese is still to be seen. Ronald is on a roll lately and we will see if he can extend his Japan Open win.

This further proved coach Tang's quote regarding to the rising stars on CHN MD: "yeah, we are better now... but to be consistent and to be top lvl, still need work to be done and more time to prove..."

Way to go, on the consistency.

Well, the problem is that Ronald has a catastrophic head-to-head record against Chen Hong (0-8 !!!) and I don't know whether he can overcome this psychologically...
    just wait and see!

I find Japanese Shoji Sato is being quite impressive too : after beating Kenneth Jonassen in the first round (17-16 in the decider), he thrashed Dicky Palyama 15-3 15-4 and nearly won today against in-form former world champion Peter Rasmussen!! (finally lost 7-15 17-14 15-12...)

Yes, Shoji Sato is the best MS in Japan, he is quite young as well.

Yeah. After watching those double pairs in the last century, e.g., Ricky/Rexy
or Gunawan/Wijaya, it seems that Cai/Fu still have a long way to go to really
get into the top level. They are doing well in the last two years just because
those good pairs are getting old.

Now we'll see what would happen if Sang/Zheng didn't win in the Thomas Cup final...

And, according to what I read about the playing style of Lee Chongwei, the match
between him and Bao should be interesting...

    I hope not! :D

Susilo seems to be stronger mentally after having beaten Bao at the Japan Open and Taufik (13-15, 15-9, 15-8) here in the 3rd Round.

Chen Hong did not have an easy victory over Boonsak (15-10, 17-15) and Ng Wei (15-10, 13.-15, 15-5) and I am hoping for an upset for Susilo, who is counting on his fitness to overcome Chen. But Chen used to be extremely fit. I'm not sure of his condition now but if his matches against Boonsak and Ng are any indication, he seems to be quite fit. Susilo has to play above himself if he wants a win badly. :)

    msian open 2003 final rematch??

i hope chen hong beats susilo and chong wei beats bao.

so they can finally have their rematch from last years malaysian open final. :)

im hoping chong wei makes it all way to the final so there will be live coverage here in malaysia :p

go chong wei. malaysia pasti (sure) boleh (can)!!!!!

i think rasmussen is a real darkhorse among the quater finalist. he might even go all the way at the expense of Lin Dan and Xia.

i can smell the hate mail coming :D
