The winner in a 7* tournament such as WC or Olympic will get 6000 WR points. The winner in a 6* tournament such as China or Indonesian Open will get 5400 WR points. The winner in a 5* tournament such as Singapore or Japan Open will get 4800 WR points. The winner in a 4* tournament such as All England or Malaysia Open will get 4200 WR points. The winner in a 3* tournament such as Swiss Open will get 3600 WR points. The winner in a 2* tournament such as Chinese Taipei Open will get 3000 WR points. The winner in a 1* tournament will get 2400 WR points. and...the winner in a Satellite tournament (Grade A) will get 1800 WR points.
Dont you think that the Olympics and WC deserve a higher point allocation? Hmm, Well, right now, there are NO malaysians in ANY of the top 5 in the world... hopefully that changes though
.. I wish Fangfang will regain this incredible form that she had all this year, that would be unfair if she doesn't win the WC .. after all efforts that she made in order to become world number one ! But well i wish also that hongyan will win this WC 2005 lol i don't know who should i choose lool
The world has turned upside down. Where the WS ranks were drastically destroyed, the cream of the MS seem to be able to hold off the pretenders rather easily. MS If there is one team-mate Lin Dan does not care to play against, it is Chen Hong. The same is also true vice versa. Lin Dan to win. Peter Gade faces a very tough home opponent in Hafiz. I think Hafiz will take this one. Taufik is the player of the moment. Chong Wei will fight tooth-and-nail but find that it is not enough. Taufik to win. Chen Jin blemished the record for the top seeds. Bao will put a halt on it promptly. There are no easy opponents in the quarter-final stage, but Bao is the envied one today. WS Seems to me that predicting against your feeling is the way to go here. My feeling says Yu Hirayama will beat Li Li. Even though she has just beaten the World #1, Li Li's success is sporadic, but Yu's record over past tournaments has been a steady improvement. It's a toss-up between Lu Lan and Zhu Lin. I don't know them enough. On paper Yao Jie will defeat Xu Huaiwen, but the women has been shredding the papers recently. I still think Yao will win. Zhang Ning is the anchor for the favourites. She is the one person will keep all those youngsters from running riot. Zhang to win the title. MD Luluk/Alven defeated Choong/Lee yesterday, and today will take down another Malaysian pair. Chan/Koo has time on their side, but Malaysians are getting impatient. Laybourn/Steffensen upset the form books by ousting team-mate Boe/Mogensen. Their match against Fu/Cai will be very interesting. Fu/Cai to win. Candra/Sigit against unknown Koreans. My money should be safe with the Indons. Candra/Sigit for the title. Tan/Ong has as good a chance as other Malaysians to make the semi-final. Sang Yang and Xie Zhongbo are proven doubles players on their own right. As a pair, they defeated 8th-seeded Kidho/Setiawan. I predict a Chinese win. WD I think we will see an all-Chinese semi-final lineup, even though admittedly, this fact is not as cut-in-stone as a few years back. XD A win for Robertson/Emms, Sudket/Saralee, Widianto/Natsir and Blair/Munt.
Peter has so far beaten 3 Malaysians and face another one in the quarter-final. Luluk/Alven have also beaten 2 Malaysian pair and face one more today...what a luck they have Now, if both Taufik and Bao Chunlai win, it will be an interesting encounter. So far, Taufik has managed wins against his previous nemesis (Lin Dan and Peter Gade). Bao is another of his nemesis....hope that he can beat Bao and meet Lin Dan again in the final Candra/Sigit against Fu/Cai or Luluk/Alven in the final? They are a good bet for another title...but...the Chinese pair is always dangerous with their much better stamina and all-attack strategy. Hope that it will be an all-Indo final and a first title for Luluk/Alven this year.
Go peter,It is time to change the statistics. Since you have beaten three Malaynsian players, you can win Hafiz too Go!Go!!Go!!!
Gade did lose to hafiz though, in their last meeting in the Jati internation test held about 2 weeks back.. still a close game though, 3 sets
