LOL blaming and having a go at the players when they underperformed. In men's doubles, sometimes it could be due to the training and coaching system that s why CHN produces so many lousy Chinese MD pairs except Cai-Fu.. Hong Wei-Shen Ye, Liu Xiaolong-Qiu zihan, Chai-Guo .... omg China is that the best you can do with all the resources and capacity you are blessed with? I think Malaysia or Indonesia do even a better job in unearthing talented MD players.
Err, but they played crap badminton ......... wakakakaka. I am still convinced if Woon Khe Wei didn't slip and fall, the Malaysians would have gone through and do a better job.
Nice to see GChen99's pic of Reiko Shiota, gosh I missed having her portrait myself ....... How could that happen? Ok, now to more pleasant surroundings and here are some pics of the most photogenic Maybank Girl. But her face looks pretty fierce at times .... typical of what would happen if you start coaching people on how to beat Tan Boon Heong's smash. Even wiggled her arms so fast in that last pic.
Pictures of the Environment ....... Maybank/Proton organizers have a lot of ground to make up to even try to match Djarum's organizing of the Indonesian tournament (now a Premier Event). But for the past two years, Astro Arena has chipped in to try spice up the environment - better than have Proton Car Showrooms inside and outside the stadium, I say. Pics below: Astro Arena Booth - comes complete with F1 wannabe simulators, video games, fussball, futsal etc. But really, it's too hot in the afternoon sun The trophy from Maybank - placed at the Arena on the 2nd picture If the players and crowd don't roar - these cars will No "budget" for big LCD screens to show livescore - this iPAD will have to do Samsung giving the Maybank iPad and iPhone some competition After the Voltric - comes the Nanoray
Mixed Doubles - probably the most complex technical discipline to master. And here are the two current best pairs in terms of technical ability, though not perhaps on actual achievement. And both pairs have yet to reach their potential ...... if ever. Tontowi Ahmad and Lilyana Natsir Xu Chen and Ma Jin The most photogenic of the coaching staff, Kanako Yonekura of Japan Our commentating needs - ably covered by the great Gillian Clark, underneath the Main TV Camera
Ah, how could I forget the other Japanese WD pair - well, here they are. Shizuka Matsuo and Mami Naito. Who reportedly blamed the luck of the wind for their defeat to the Koreans ......
The Highlander goes to ..... Wang Yihan In The End....... There Could Only Be Wang ........ Yihan. Here are more select pics of Yihan - unfortunately not in skirt. Getting pointers from the legendary Zhang Ning Forgoes her shower to describe details on how she vanquished Saina Nehwal
South East Asia had 4 pairs in the quarterfinals in the mixed doubles event Two of the new lesser known ones are: Thais Maneepong Jongjit and Savitree Amitapai - put the Indonesians under pressure early in their match Singaporeans Danny Chrisnanta and Vanessa Neo - should have been more clinical and teach the Malaysians a lesson But Lee Yong Dae will have trouble defending his XD Olympic title with his new partner
Women's Doubles Rarely does a WD event been won by non-Chinese pairs. The last time it happened, was won by the Japanese last year. Now we have the first European winners - Kamilla Rytter-Juhl and Cristinna Pedersen.
For the two pairs below, what can I say, except their days are numbered. And the fuel tank is not enough to cover the journey. As they say, the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak ..... But these two pairs could take heart that during their prime, they were among the few that could pose a challenge to the Mighty Chinese. Even went to World No 1 for a brief period, not bad indeed.
There are pics from me though, unfortunately majority are for my 'personal consumption'. From the pic, looks like you stand quite near to those girls or rather you're using your russian binocular lens to snap the photos.. Did u manage to try out the smash speed thingy?
Lcw book. [h=2]Dare To Be A Champion 《败者为王》 was selling like hot cakes in the stadiums on the final day.. The guy u see in the pic is not LCW of course.. It's his brother. LCW's brother and manager was seen busy helping him for the sale of the book before his final match in the stadium. The response was extremely good though.[/h]
