    You are totally wrong!

First, I found Lee HI just from database, I was trying to find who got most quarter finalists, then Lee HI came out undisputed, with 6, the second has only 3. So he is the Mr Quarter finalist from the database, not from my sentiment at all.

Second, I have nothing against LHI, I think he is a very good defender, of course, I don't think he is the best in the world, since he does not have any title, and only 1 four star runner up.

Third, Mr Quarter finalist is not bad at all, if some one keeps in quarter final, he should be in the top 8 in the world.;)

I found a lot of people can not view things objectively, including the IBF site. For example, IBF listed Lee HI as the top candidate and strong favourite to win WC, while Chen Jin, Chen Hong, Bao CL as only challengers to watch out. Even though all those 2nd class challengers are ranked higher than Lee HI, and Chen Jin and Chen Hong are also 6 stars title holders, while Lee HI best result was only 4 star runner up. But their reasoning is that in the recent tournaments, from Ina open, Singapore open, Malay open, Taipei Open, Macau Open, Thai open, CH, CJ, BCL showed their weakness and vulnerability, while Lee HI are still strong and stable. But if you really look at the results, things were just opposite, BCL got a 6 star runner up, CJ got a runner up, and CH got 2 semi-finalists, while LHI participated more opens, but only 1 semi-finalist. Why they keep saying LHI performed better, only because that's their wish. Fans only count their idol's win.

Well, if you are one of the guy insisting LHI is one of the best in the world, then there is no wonder you thought I am anti-LHI to the max. But for my self, I just read from data.

In my opinion, if Simon Santoso finds himself up against Lee Chong Wei, Lee will definitely have the upper hand. I'd give Simon a 15% chance of beating Chong Wei this time around, the Malaysian is playing extremely well.

I am behind Simon in this KO tournament.

    Why: Because
    1. This tournament is not participated by LD, PG, CJ, CH, (players that badminton fans want to see playing TH).
    2. This is a warming-up tournament prior to WC
    3. When facing his fellow junior, Taufik tends to let his felow junior win.

But in the WC (where all top guns eye the title, that's a different story).

Actually, I agree with what the IBF said. I believe that at this moment, Lee HI is a stronger challenger than Chen Hong and Bao. Not so sure about Chen Jin though. Sometimes, you cannot just look at the results or rankings. Just by looking at the rankings, Taufik would not even be considered a dark horse.

Taufik got WC last time, and Olympic ring, and also recent 6 star INA open title. His results are not bad at all. His ranking is low because he plays less. I still cannot dig out any LHI's achievement could be compatible to Taufik's records.

Winning a title is different from winning 2 quarter-finalists. But IBF thinks it's the same. Calculations in ranking give the same points if you either win 1 title or win 2 quarter finalists. That's the reason Taufik is under-rated, while Lee HI is overrated. IBF's points is that winning a title needs 6 matches, and 2 quarter-finalists need 6 matches (2 x 3 matches). So they are the same. But reality check: champion never lose, while 2 quarter-finalists lost twice; Champion beats runner up, while quarter-finalist lost to semi-finalists.

Champion needs special talents which not everyone has. Taufik proved it before several times, but Lee HI not yet. Lee HI's 6 quarter-finalists makes him ahead of TH in ranking, but it also indicates he lost more times than TH.

Well, let's see, imho, players like Lee HI, and Bao CL, have problems to really win something.

    You are wrong again;)

I am not angry at all. I felt good after I found the answer from the database. I don't support Bao CL at all. Like Lee HI, both of them have problems to win title, that's my finding. Further investigation shows that Bao CL ended up with runner up more often, while Lee HI ended up with quarter-finalist in most case.

I hope LCW is not presenting Roslin with a departure gift for his trip to Denmark, but Roslin will have the best gift if he wins the Korea Open! :D
