There's no official minimum height for indoor badminton play. What do you think it should be? Or what's the minimum height you would play? I think 18 ft feels ok....

I believe 18ft is just way too low, the high clears will likely kiss the roof. I think the min. I can accept is at least 22-24ft. I think the "standard" (might not be official) I read is 28+ ft or so?

Agree with LB. I thought (from long long time ago in a galaxy far far away) the min height was 8m which is about 26ft. But don't quote me on this one...

18'?! What? Nobody lifts where you play? :p

Cooler: 18.5' long is not a medium sized vehicle. My Tundra Double Cab is pretty big and it's "only" 230" long (19'+).

I guess SGVBC members are spoiled, our ceiling is over 100+feet.
I couldn't hit the ceiling even if I tried. I don't think anyone can hit the ceiling....:D

this is from the 'statement of badminton requirements for olympic games'

The floor of the field of play must measure not less than 46 metres by 30 metres. The uninterrupted
height above the floor must be not less than 12 metres. [Note: the field of play is bounded by the first row of seating

The 10metres i mentioned is for practice hall.....sorry for the confusion

It's probably more like 45' to 50' tall. It's a converted warehouse that used to build planes.

minimum at end or centre? at end(baseline) = 30ft, centre = 50ft; shall be fine. 100ft? 9 storey high building? that is a very good stadium for international tournament, since we need more space for spectators....
