Does anyone knows what happen to Maeda pair? It seems that they had not been joining any SS for quite long.....

I've been wondering too, they haven't been in anything since HK Open last year I think. I noticed they've entered NZ Open that starts in a couple of days though, so I hope they'll be making a full comeback!

maeda is fine. i heard that she played some match in japan league with other partner from her club.
for kakiiwa, she injured her knee last year.
and the pair have withdrawn from NZ open already.

i hope that kakiiwa can make a good comeback to nt soon.
her former partner, fujii never comeback to national team after recovery from her knee injury.

I feel bad for Miyuki Maeda fate here. Until mid last year, I think they were on a right track to qualify for Olympic, but now it's like they have been disappeared completely.

At least for Kakiiwa, she already got a silver medal in last olympic. However, Miyuki is far less fortunate. She has been on the circuit for a very long time, and almost got a medal in 2008 Olympic after beating the 1st seed of China, but come short on 4th place. Together with Satoko Suetsuna, they have contributed a lot as JPN WD number 1 for several years, but still have not been able to achieve any major title, compared to their junior Fujii/Kakiiwa, and now Matsutomo/Takahashi.
