You said Chen? I also thought the person you asked is Mr Feng.

:D Haha... when did BadmintonForum become the ladies' tea-room? I'm sure the messages above must have been written in some obscure dialect only understandable to gossiping girls.

Perhaps Kwun should create a separate section of the forum for Honghong and friends in which they can create as many "Who's hot and who's not" threads as they please without detracting from the slightly more serious content of threads in the main forum. ;)

i actually thought about that. a "Lin Dan Fan thread", "Xia Fan thread". in there, all the fans can talk as much as they wish, we won't complain about it.

if they do it anywhere else, their post will be moved into the fan thread.

how does that one sound? that way, everybody will be happy.

Perhaps it could replace the chit-chat section, which no longer seems to be used much. The best environment for the sort of discussion mentioned might be a real-time chat room, however, as you mentioned previously, Kwun, it might be impracticable - particularly in respect of moderating the discussions; it may also attract the wrong sort of members.

I would second that. Do we need to establish some rules on what the section would be for (as compared to the Professional Players section)?

We seems to be attracting more fans of baddy players (not just fans of the game itself) so it might be time for a fan thread.

I don't know if the "focus group" members in question would abide by that, notwithstanding the physical move of encroaching threads into the newly created sub-forum. Further, this would escalate negative emotes of the focus group. Maybe a private dialog with them to address the issue (mods and focus group) is in order.

I agree with Kwun/WWC, though. Another "aye."

I hope this wouln't become the old days worldbadminton chatroom.

We are going off-topic here (from the thread) but I doubt that the moderators will even let it get that close to that point.

IMO, I think it is great that 'we' (the forum) is attracting fans of the various players and I don't we want to 'restrict' their postings in any way as long the forum rules are adhered to. After all, we want to popularize badminton and having fans is one that will help.

Maybe one of the moderators can move this particular discussion to a new thread. Thanks.

They weren't breaking rules, not to mention this thread is (or was) about that 'cute Chinese official', it is us who hijacked the thing. This discussion should be done in Forum Feedback instead.

We non-cutie-discussion group are the ones breaking the rules!

yunyun is talking about the guy on the left of the pic... with the balloon sticks
I thought Yunyun was referring to the person on the right of the pic - the one who looks like he eats well every day! :o
