It has not been confirmed yet. KKK/TBH will be more prepared to match MK/HS. This is gonna be interesting.

what if INA fill up Bona/Ahsan as they beaten KKK/TBH several occasions... unless MAS fill up GVS/LKW as they also beaten Bona/Ahsan before...

What's the prediction for this 2012 Axiata Cup ?

    .
Thanks to all BCers giving info/comments for the first round of this 2012 Axiata matches.

As for me, I think the GARUDA Team is the strongest.

It's more than half expected that GARUDA will win the inaugural event of this tournament.

In order to upset Garuda, MAS has to field this line-up:
    Lee Chong Wei
    Goh V Shem/Lim Khim Wah
    Liew Daren

Forget about putting in Koo/Tan for the doubles. They won't beat Bona/Ahsan, and it would be better for the youngsters to get experience anyway. At least with Goh/Lim in, there is a chance for an upset while we all know that KKK/TBH are just not capable of pulling off upsets. Liew Daren is in there get him into more pressure situations. Honestly, I think he is already equal to Hafiz in terms of standard. I would feel very disappointed if KKK/TBH and Hafiz are played.

Please field LCW only if he 100% ready, otherwise, please dun take the risk. If he aggravates his shoulder injury this time it will take 10 weeks to headl !!
As for MD, I think it is time to just field LKW/GVS. Give them more exposure. KKK/TBH is not guaranteed to win anyway.
2nd MS should go to DL. Same concept as MD.
If LCW not 100%, then bye bye Tigers....hello Garuda !

The tournament itself is a joke.

Only big money that attracts DLCW to play.

If he does play for the money, i think he is stupid. OG12 is much more important. He should get more rest.

hope INA Rajawali vs MAS Leopards line up should be like this...

    Tommy vs Ramdan
    Alvent/Hendra or Angga/Rian vs Chooi/Ow or Nelson/Teo
    Rumbaka vs Zulfadli or Iskandar

While INA Garuda vs MAS Tigers line up should be like this...

Taufik or Simon vs LCW or Hafiz (if LCW dun wan to risk himself)
BoSan or Kindra vs Koo/Tan or Goh/Lim
    Sony vs Liew Daren

OW will most likely sit out of it as his dad has passed away.. so BAM will give him space to recover.

As I was preparing to go to the office this morning, I was surprised to see the Philippine flag in a certain badminton tournament. I got confused because Marc Zwiebler was playing for the Philippines. What added more to my surprise is seeing Mathias Boe coaching MD Estanislao/Vivas pari. Hmmm. I should read badmintoncentral more often.

    I'll go for...

    Rajawali vs Leopards
    Tommy vs Ramdan
Alvent/Hendra or Angga/Rian vs Nelson/Teo (Ow went home for his father funeral I heard)
Rumbaka vs Iskandar (ZZ's gone for Finnish IC)

    INA Garuda vs MAS Tigers
Simon vs Hafiz (let Simon play this time n LCW should sit this out IMHO)
BoSan or Kindra vs Goh/Lim (valuable experience for GVS/LKW)
    Sony vs Liew Daren

Just catching up for this tournament (watching half of the reruns on Astro). Koo-Tan no motivation seriously, I guess this Axiata is just 'training time' for them.

If TKH dare to field scratch pair, like KKK/GVS or LKW/TBH, then interesting. But TKH seems to be the type of coach who sticks to the usual pairing

KKK-TKH is way off form and mentally not in the tournament, GVS-LKW should be the 1st doubles for this tournament. At least their attitude is better.

LCW's name is there so that LD could play 2nd singles. LCW could retire after the first shot has been struck. LD is the next highest rank MS player after LCW in MAS now. With some luck, MAS may progress with wins from doubles and 2nd single.:D

Let's sum up the Results of the Preliminary Rounds:

Malaysia Tigers 3 vs Philippines 0

Day 2: 24 March Saturday (Preliminary Rounds)

Malaysia Tigers 1 vs Indonesia Rajawali 2

It's not a surprise that Indonesia Garuda won all their matches, while the Philippines lost all. But it's great that the Philippines participated in it.

Now, here comes the question: Will LCW, participating (as injured) in this coming weekend, help the Malaysia Tigers make it into the FINALS?:confused::confused:
