hello guys and gals. I have a badminton racket that I used many years ago (when I was 16) now 25 years old. anyway, I recently started playing again with my girlfriend but noticed my racket needs re-gripping. I purchased the karakal pu grip online but have seen in all the online guides that once you have re gripped you must put some sort of tape around the top to stop the grip coming off. what is this tape and where can i buy some? many thanks, mat-nick

The grip should come with a piece of tape that you can use.

Alternatively, you can use any other sticky tape that you have lying around. I like electrical insulation tape best. :)

thanks mate, ill ne picking the grip up after work so shall see if it comes with tape. hopefully it will. id imagine that electrical tape would peel off after a while and leave a sticky residue. thanks for the fast response :)

maybe... only if you leave it for 9 years again. :p

Seriously, I change grips regularly and always use electrical tape - never had an issue with leftover glue.

I think that's what I'll use them as I didn't have any tape with the grips. It was just two karakal grips in a brown envelope.
