Congrats The biggest concern I always had with the P9 was the large release button of the clamp base. I'll be curious to hear what you have to say after a few rackets.
I like the bigger button for the release. I dont feel like I have to find a button like Protech and it is right there. There are also feet on the machine if you want to use it as a table top. Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
Just finished my first racket on it, a little over 23 minutes =( I like how close te tension head can get, but sometimes, most of the time I have a problem winding around the diablo. I like the cams better than Protech button where I have to feel around for it. Been a whils since I had a brand new machine so everything feels rough when moving, it is smooth but you can hear metal on metal when moving the cams. Puting it together was pretty easy, most of the parts are pretty light, I was suprised at the tool tray part, it was not heavy and when mounting to the shaft it balanced well, making it easy to screw in. Mounting arms were not heave either and they have 2 screws to help make sure it is in straight. There are feet at the bottom of the tool tray part so if you want to use it as a table top you can. As for the tool tray storage, it is very minimal, I have some extra tools I use for tennis so having a lot of tools in the tray is not a great feeling, maybe having a grommet grinder fall off or an awl to the foot, I actually dropped my cutters and almost landed on my foot at home =( Got a few more rackets to string so maybe update after a few more. I have never noticed that the machine does not have a tool tray. That is a big minus point of that machine And then, at first look, there is no easy way to upgrade/install a tool tray yourself. Maybe with the screws of the table top feets? But with such an expensive machine, there should actually be a tool tray included. That you do not use it when you use it as a table machine, fine...
WOW!!! Thanks for the idea!! I can go to the 100 Yen shop and maybe find something to hang from the feet!! I will try it!!
I guess I should have shown the screen. Someone said someone tried the Precision 8.0 with auto-lock, but there is no lock function on my screen. Low tension is 10 pounds and high is 88. I checked with my calibrator at 30 pounds and just 1 try pulled 30.73, of course my calibrator is not calibrated so I guess close enough. Some pictures how it came packaged and what I have done to it so far. Did I mention it had knobs for feet if you want to use it as a tabletop. Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
There is no auto-lock on the Precision 8.0 because it doesn't have an electronic brake. Only manual brake. One minor difference to the Precision 9.0
My scale is not calibrated, and I only took 1 reading. I was just getting an idea what it was pulling. =) Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
Auto-lock (-), USB ports (-), tool tray(-), weight(+), table top use(+), easy to assemble (+), turntable grip handles (+) Maybe my plus and minuses. Having the tool tray in the middle, if your tools are not flat they can get hooked by string and then they fly off the tray. Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
The look is indeed sexy. tesla vibe. but the price is kinda close to precision 9. Another question, will the string tend to hooke on the accessories in the tool tray while stringing? edit: ah just read on your previous comment
Looks =) supposed to look like carbon fiber. I will change to something glossy and easier to hold. A little slippery Sent from my SC-01L using Tapatalk
