I remember Yang Yang and Zhao are same age. If Yang Yang retired in 1991, he was only 26  probably still at his peak.

Zhao Jian Hua lived in Malaysia??

Can anyone confirm whether Zhao Jian Hua ever reside in Malaysia? My Uncle told me that we used to had a badminton professional living next to my house in Malaysia, Perak. He told me the player is called zhao jian hua:eek:.

As my uncle is not into badminton sport, he can't confirm whether he's the badminton superstar zhao jian hua.

What about Han Jian? I have always been a great admirer of him.
Can someone give an update on him.

Han Jian is still in Malaysia right?? I heard he is coaching at a club and has a very small kid as his disciple. That was perhaps years ago and I am not sure about now.

MAS needs a good MS coach from China to lift the Thomas Cup trophy again. Unfortunately, LM wasnt up to BAM's expectation. who's next?

I doubt Li Yongbo can coach as well as the current great coaches such as Li Mao, Rexy, Park Joo Bong, Morton Frost, Yang Yang, etc... He is a head coach who acts as a main director of the Chinese team.

I guess we can look at him like a team manager.

When the current top players like LD, TH, etc. are playing in half-empty stadiums and Yonex is the lone major sponsor, senior tourneys for FWC, who gonna sponsor that, and who will fly/board/vacation time/pay to see? And how many 'old' players can still play at high level to excite paying fans.

28, actually. Yes, he was still on top when he retired. Sun Jun, Wu Wenkai, Liu Jun who were supposed to take over were still quite far away in ability.

Zhao Jianhua is almost 2 years younger.
