That Raketa on sneakerfreaker looks nothing like the one on the nike site so hoping that's actually the Zoom 8.0 :). Raketa looks better in the video than in the picture ...

Wonder if Team China will (have to) wear them since they are sponsored by Nike?

I've tried some of them on. Very nice and comfy. But Yonex shoes is still better. I don't know when it is going to be launched.

Ive seen a trainer at a certain bay area club wearing them! Word is a few US players (bach) and perhaps other national player will be 'unveiling' them at the olympic games. Nikes generally are a tad over priced, but it should fit in there nicely within the yonex price range. If only nike hopped into the racket arena this year, that wouldve been great. Maybe 2012 nike

The only problem is that the price will be more likely to be higher than yonex highend shoes, since it's nike. So,somehow i prefer yonex or other brands that's more into badminton.

The US team received around 2-3 pairs during US Open. They were probably prototypes for the Nike Air Zoom now looks a lil bit different.
I was lucky enough to try the Nike Raketa during a tournament. The felt pretty good except that the material was too thin and it felt like there wasnt enough support for your feet. For now i still prefer my Yonex shoes though.

Im sad the nikes i saw were white with red/black accents but the ones they released were red/black and grey/black for men and for women also the red/black and then white/blue. Im probably going to pick up a pair of the mens greys, and their price is fair 90 usd.

Any updates? Both shoes look awesome, I'd rock either one but prefer the red ones. The Raketa link on Nike Labs doesn't show any button to "buy" so I'm kinda lost. I Googled, eBayed, everything I could think of.

I guess, the raketa will not come into mass production since it was shown before the Beijing Olympic.

It keep us waiting for so long. SAD ........... :(
