..should be a very good "Guess what camera & lens were used?" question, esp. to all the photography enthusiasts in BC..
Wow Indonesia was such a force in the 60s that they can afford to let China have Thing Hien Hiow , How Ka Cheong and Fang and still have a legion of players back home to be top playing badminton nation.
It took CHina 15 years to produce home grown world champions as the 3 Indonesians dominated China badminton for 2 decades. And Thing is still being asked to give technical and strategic advise to the current crop of world champions from China
Thing and How were great singles players but they couldnt play doubles well, two single players playing half a court, that was what their Malaysian contempories said.
Funny thing is, until recently, China finds it difficult to produce world beating doubles while Malaysia had Chan Changjie from China who coached Cheah Soon Kit, Soo Beng Kiang and then produced Yap Kim Hock and Tan Kim Her, followed with the Uncles Lee-Choong and semi uncles Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng.
Huang Hua and Adriyanti Firdasari
