    I feel very disappointed.
I am very sorry for Indonesian who can't watch the Games.
BUt I am a lucky Indonesian because I live in Belgium that has live broadcast everyday.

But I still don't understand the reasons from some TV stations which said :
-They won't get profit because the TV-right is too high.
-No commercial advertisements (weak commercial value), because broadcast in midnite.
-Lack of performance (the shuttlers' performances have declined)
    -Etc, etc, etc.....

If I compile with Euro2004 which broadcasted by RCTI, I get more confuse.
-RCTI spent more than 1 million for Euro 2004, just for football
-Euro 2004 was broadcasted in midnite, but "NOT" weak commercial value ?
-Did Indonesian footballer played in Euro 2004 ?

Agree, that "maybe" Euro 2004 (football) is the most popular sport. But since WW II, Badminton is the sport which can bring Indonesia to the top level in International community.

And in Athens, KONI hope (a) medail(es) from Badminton.
If no live broadcast, the peoples of Indonesia don't know what going on on the field/court. If they are watching, maybe they can cross their fingers and pray for Sony, Taufik, Hian/Limpele, Alven/Lulu, Tri/Sigit, Nova/Vita, etc.....

TV stations' owners should not always think about their profit, but they must also think about their "duty" to serve the public.

Indonesia is like that... All the tv channel are private owners. What for they broadcast and did not get any money. Then they will lose money. So they did not want this to happen. And i think they all spend too much money already. Thats y. And i am also disappointed, how can they do dat. I remember when Ricky/Rexy n Candra/Tony won the gold medal... Why dont they want to broadcast something like that...

    Kabelvision

    Hi Eva,

Tks for the updated info. I live in Surabaya. I called Kabelvision and was told that the broadcast is only available for JKT subscribers only. Can you believe it? They hv paid so much for the telecast and only air to JKT area only.

When I called their Surabaya office their excuse was only that they do not hv the necessary parts or equipments to broadcast in Surabaya.

I hv sent them a complain letter through their website but I dont know if they will hear me. I wonder if you can help me to talk to the bosses in JKT.

    Rgds,
    Gunawan
