Bill and Melinda Gates watching badminton at Beijing (pic #45, 50, 52). I am sure they have the money and connection for tickets to any event they like. Why badminton? Are they such a big fan? Maybe Microsoft can sponsor the next U.S. Open? :D:D

Like his Microsoft partner Paul Allen, Bill should take an interest in sports. He should investigate the viability of badminton as a global sport. It's there for the taking since no one has put a name to it (other than Yonex). How does the Microsoft Super Series sound? US$1 million per tournament + $2 million for the SS finals. That would set Bill back "only" $14 million

Yeah, since she's "dead", she won't need the shoes or racket anymore right? ;)

    Yep, yep...

...i saw the news this morning, and y'day during the match, and i thought i saw someone familiar in the stands. It was too far, and i couldn't even see him clearly with my camera. He was sitting in the seating stand, right across from were we're sitting (fans sitting area). And even George Bush was enjoying some of the actions, too.;)
Yeah, as i've echoed before, if Gates does enjoy the sport and wants to chip in a bit to the sport, just the thought of it, who knows about the future of badminton in the U.S.??..:);)

*Hau-ge, did you get my message/voicemail on your hp??..:)

Oh yes. I forgot what the "MS" in "MSNBC" stands for :)

If you see him again, run over and ask for his #. He might say 'yes' and you have a couple millions to run a badminton tournament :)

As for Mr. Bush, it is good that he is busy watching sports in China. That means he is less time doing harm to the rest of the world. :D:D

One of the HDTV cameras used to capture the broadcast. Actually there are 2 of them, stationed on opposite ends.

Press area, located on one side of the hall. One would see lights and equipments lined up. So, after each match, the winners would walk alongside the bottom area toward that area, where reporters would conduct their interviews.

For all of Lee Chong Wei's fans (after his win over Ronald S.). Notice our Raphy (Raphael Sachetat) standing at the back, left side, with arms folded;):
