Kim/seo have been good in this tournament but I'm not sure whether kim is truly a better option than jin yong. I feel like like kim is very error prone just like kang but he's definitely a better front court player than jin. all of them have solid defense

so far the most entertaining match, second XD sf, Toh has improved so a lot, so nowadays very exciting pair to watch, but she has to play better than Huang and it will be very hard to do

How long are the koreans going to be experimenting with the pairs? Its gonna be kim and kang in Indonesia masters i believe. Are they juz gonna keep switching around? Only kang/seo will be able to qualify for the world championships based on their ranking.

Malaysians can not get anything back from the defense, so the only chance they have - not to lift, at that is 80% up to Toh

I watched the XD match and couldn't stop thinking how zheng/huang are still guaranteed at least 7-8 titles this year if they decided to keep playing. top 10 quality are not that good, in fact that's probably the case for almost all 5 discipline right now, especially after the retirement of some of the top players. each year the talent has gotten worse.

    MAS XD self-destruct.
CHN just played their normal game.

CTJ defense was poor and Toh gave him added pressure hence he couldn't play his normal game and it got worse. Toh shouldn't be too bossy.

MAS pair didn't have the righ attitude coming into the game.

To beat Feng/Huang, they need to be at 150%. Today, they were only at 65%.

pretty much one way traffic for Antonsen, Naraoka can not score by himself and Antonsen nowadays has just super control no matter what drift is

Antonsen looking good at first glance but he is playing a higher pace than before and thus has a higher risk to get injured, dont think he can sustain it in the longer run.

kim has a way more consistent all around game than jin and is also tactically smarter. i rate ssj/kwh as the best md pair in the world right now.
...because, when you're seo's partner you become the target.

Kim and Seo rocking mens Doubles with various Partners lately Just Shows the insane quality of Mixed Doubles competition in the Last years. All the top Mixed Male Players have been absolute monsters...Zheng, Yuta, Dechapol, Seo, Kim...now the two Koreans easily beat one of the top mens Doubles...they are just such good Players. In fact...Lee Young Dae is considered GOAT Material, but I am even more impressed by SSJ. His defence is just as good, but he hast much more attacking Power. He has not won that many big Titles yet, but skillweise...Just wow.

Unfortunately Mixed Doubles will Not be the same for a Long Time.

Mixed Doubles is not the same because there are no strong women players.

Ok...so you are telling me that the Male Players I mentioned are not being missed in Mixed Doubles category?

From the females, Yaqiong, Sapsiree and Chae are missed. Huang Dongping is still there. I feel like the quality in Male Players has gone down more than in female players.

Those ones who have recently retired have had 8 years of partnerships with a very high level indeed. Finding women who are really strong at the net is quite challenging. Even for male players, generally speaking there are fewer who can dominate the forecourt area.

Seeing Huang Dong Ping still going strong is quite impressive. Wei Yaxin also stands out. The new Malaysian girl Su looks very good. I haven’t really watched the other pairs too closely.

I agree there are fewer strong women but not no strong women players.

SSJ defense is definitely not as good as LYD lol. peak LYD literally had impenetrable defense, like legit brick wall, and he was playing against someone like FHF on consistent basis.

Anyway imagine if ZSW decided to comeback and choose to play MD. he'll probablly gonna kick SSJ a** again with the right partner lol. I always wanted him to play MD, he's too good to just play 1 discipline imo
