The pros went to invitational matches because those are financially rewarding. Reducing tournaments is a big no no for BWF because it is not financially for them and it opens up possibility for more invitational matches, rendering them (BWF) less important. Pro players is still burned out though, so they decided to change the scoring system to have faster match. Everybody win, except maybe the fans.

Or at least this is what I think.
 
Playing against Kim/Seo must be so mentally tiring. It's just amazing how the shuttle keeps coming back with quality.

Ahsan/Hendra against Kim/Seo would be interesting since they used to play against LYD/YYS a lot and actually beat them more than any other pair, but I think Kim/Seo would handle Minions quite nicely tbh

Possibility of food poisoning ? Based on today’s scoreline against Inthanon, she seems to be in pretty good condition, so yeah it’s weird.

She plays against ASY tomorrow too, probably doesn’t want to give the H2H edge and give ASY more confidence against her in the future.
 
As if winning 11 titles last year are not enough, now ASY has been a handed a walkover by CYF in S1000 Semifinal WOW.

Anyone watch the match yesterday? I only saw the score and thought she must be in good condition. Maybe she injured herself at the end of the match or something.
 
ASY’s competition as of now is basically a bunch of players from the TTY era who are near the end of their careers and dealing with a lot of injury problems. I’ve got to say WS has become one of the least exciting discipline because of this. The situation makes it easier for ASY to dominate.
 
I find Tomoka Miyazaki has sort of fizzled out. She started quite promising in the senior tournaments. Not too sure what happened.
