Quite sure that Lin Dan lost focus because of the taunting from the crowd...
limsy had mentioned that they asked him when walkover, when injury, etc. even the most mentally strong player will be affected!

Not really. Crowd doesn't play much role in the match.
The crowd for sure wanted to watch LCW vs LD. So there is no point for the crowd to intercept Lin Dan.
Lin Dan probably to tired like what Jorgensen told.

Lin Dan almost won Malaysian Open in 2007 when he was leading LCW 20-13 in the rubber set.

But LCW came back like a man possessed in that set to win . I still remember that match.

That was the best LD did in MO so far....

The second best was 2005 final, LD lost to LCW, man it was another 3 set classic.

I think Jorgensen played really well and credit goes to him for winning the match fair and square. A lot were going through Lin Dan's mind and made him totally lost his focus. Whether he lost on purpose or not, only he and CBA knows. Unfortunately for Jan Jorgensen, people see the match as a gift to him as Lin Dan already knew Chen Jin will scrap to the quarterfinal at least, to make it less obvious his intention to let him gain extra points. If Lin Dan did lose this match by playing seriously, my god i believe he really has to train harder and start attacking more like he used to in 2008. By playing like this, I think anyone can beat him if it happens to be the player's day and Lin Dan making stupid errors.
If Lin Dan falls to any player, Lee Chong Wei is pre-declared the Olympic Champion. I seriously can't think of any human being in this world that holds a racket that could beat Lee Chong Wei at the moment

Well a loss is a loss, we have to accept it whether we like it or not. As a matter of fact, be grateful it is JUST a MALAYSIA OPEN not the OLYMPICS. As Lin Dan fan, I DO hope the match was fixed though I hate it if it really was and at the same it does. If he really lost, I wish he start finding ways to re-discover his focus and fiery form to be the true contender. Any form will do: Asian Game Form 2010 or Olympics 2008 form. Let's hope he is truly pretending since he is not interested to win the MO because it pains me when he actually lost to a player he shouldn't lose to even though Jorgensen played well..

Why even second guess Lin Dan's loss, he did it for the team. We may not like China's un-sportsman like arrangement to achieve max qualification quota but tell me which nations would not have done the same thing if given the same scenario? Badminton is still a state sponsored sports so national interest comes first is really not that beyond reason.
If Malaysia is given the same opportunity, I would want Lee Chong Wei to lose too to help out his team mate to qualify but I would not go that far to ask any of my player to lose intentional during Olympic showdown, is cruel.

Actually, Lin Dan looked a bit fatigued last night. Accuracy for soft shots is missing although his smashes are still pretty good.

Jorgensen looked really fresh, too much energy pent up with that long medical leave he had to treat his heart problem.

I doubt that Lin Dan would worry about that. LCW loses many times in a row, but eventually can still beat Lin Dan after 3 straight defeats. Similarly, Lin Dan could do the same even if he loses a few times in a row to LCW. After 27 battles between them , they know enough that defeat does not mean the end of the world.
