But tension is a personal thing.... And theirs are done by different stringers... end result feel differs. Just because they like fried chicken in USA doesn’t mean I should eat the same in Asia, for example...
Really funny that some get here a meltdown, because female pro players use a lower tension than they order from their friend Crankjoe Flyclamp. Also funny that some think that pro players need to lower tension because they pick too stiff rackets. Just remember that professional badminton had a time with 21lbs climbing ropes. I suspect that a huge amount here play too stiff rackets and too high tension here or they all hit more clean with faster swing than top female players.
"Tension is not proportionate to our play level" and this is a fact that should be repeated regardless of how many people were surprised by it. We can play with whatever tension that is comfortable or for some, feels superior to ourselves. At the end of the day, not every game is about the scoreboard. If someone is happy with playing overly high tension resulting in poor performance or body injury, there's nothing we can say to change their mind. However as a responsible community, it is important to reduce the misconception of the relationship between tension and play level. Remember kids, high tension does not equal high level of play.
I find it weird that here many recreational players can all use stiff to x-stiff shafts effortless while the number of stiff to x-stiff shaft users in professional badminton is not that strongly biased.
LYD, YYS, KYS, and many others used BS12 and that had a medium flex shaft? Is it expected that all pro players have to use a stiff racket? Its all just personal preference.
Have you ever use a BS12 KRP version? If you have then you will know the significant difference between the normal BS12 and the KRP version
Saw a Yonex official stringer posted in his FB, CTC now using VT ZFII with BG66UM at 30/31 lbs for Perodua Malaysia Masters 2020.
I may be mistaken but I believe Kim Gi Jung went from nanoflare 700 to 88D in his match against Ong and Teo
