    I'm betting the recommended tension from Yonex will be a fair bit lower than that. I wonder what the tension was when TBH set that new speed record.

    I bet it's the same tension Zhang Jun used to set his unofficial smash speed record of 502km/h:

    [IMG]

    You can pretty much say TBH's 421km/h "Guinness World Record" is mehhh, and a poor marketing ploy by Yonex ;)

    Yonex JP says 27 lb for the 3U version and 28 for the 2U... quite high for them, actually.

    目前市场上最常用的是羽毛球线是yonex系列的bg系列拍线。据yonex公司说,世界上89%的专业球员使用yonex的球线。下面对常见的几种yonex拍线的性能和特点做一个大致的介绍。其中性能特点部分的评价只限于此几种拍线之间的比较,不代表与其他拍线之间的比较结果。

    一,yonex bg65羽毛球线
    yy bg-65线:市场上销量最大的拍线。0.70毫米的线径,线芯材料为多层树脂,外层材料为化学合成树脂编束纤维,耐磨性及经济性极佳,缺点是弹性一般。

    性能特点:
    弹性:较差;
    击球感:较柔;
    吸震性:较差;
    控制性:较差;
    耐久性:较好
    注:林丹用的就是yy bg-65线

    Tony Gunawan I believe uses NBG95.

    I have a feeling Ahsan uses BG65 as well, but it's still unconfirmed :(

    This list surprised me a bit. A lot of the top tier players use BG65 and BG65 TI (lot more than I expected at least) and only three (in this list) use the BG80, something I expected more players may be using. I thought may be reason is that since these players use such high string tensions, they'll be needing a higher gauge string but lo and behold, the BG 80 guys are stringing theirs at even higher tensions :eek:
