I like this quote from Mahatma Gandhi . I like the above quote from Mahatma Gandhi. I have great respect for him (and have learnt much from his quotes). However, I still believe that his thoughts were governed by his feelings when he made his quote above. It was always great that Mahatma Gandhi's feelings were consistently POSITIVE throughout his life (because he always felt a better world should be a POSITIVE one). .
Not just better for oneself, or a few people; But for the world ...... . What I meant was - Not just better for oneself or for a few people; But better for most people, or for most communities worldwide (India, England, or the whole World). .
100th anniversary of World War 1 this week . As we are communicating here, do we know that this week is the 100th anniversary of World War 1? No one won; Everyone lost. Mahatma Gandhi did probably learn from it. Link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causes_of_World_War_I .
Yes, thoughts can be driven by feelings/emotions. But your thoughts, behaviours and physiology can influence your emtions as well. Your emtions is the animal. Can you leverage it or will you be drown in it?
This week is the 100th anniversary of World War 1 . Surprisingly, we had World War 2 some 30 years later. So much was also learnt from it. Hope we won't have a World War 3 while I'm alive. . .
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken . Love this quote: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” - Oscar Wilde .
The internet can be a dangerous place . I like to add in my own quote: "The internet can be a dangerous place.” Just received this message: ==================================== Dear Chris, You recently initiated a password reset for your computer ID. To complete the process, click the link below. If you didn’t make this request, it's likely that another user has entered your email address. If you believe an unauthorized person has accessed your account, you can reset your password ==================================== I didn't request to reset my account ID. .
That email message was meant to fool you into entering your password. if you did enter your password, you should reset your password now!!!!
Chris, here's the why and what of your password security breach ... Russian criminals have stolen 1.2 billion Internet user names and passwords, amassing what could be the largest collection of stolen digital credentials in history, a respected security firm said Tuesday. http://money.cnn.com/2014/08/05/technology/security/russian-hackers-theft/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
Things are OK; I didn't reset my password . Thank you both (for the advise and info). Things are OK. I didn't reset my password. I reread the message over and over again. The most important part of the message that hit me was; I believe that another user has entered my email address. But I didn't reset my password. I thought my account should still be secure if nothing has gone wrong. And, I thought I will only change my password as soon as something has gone wrong. Lucky that I did not panic. .
If Life Is a Game, These Are the Rules: 1. You will receive a body. 2. You will be presented with lessons. 3. There are no mistakes, only lessons. 4. Lessons are repeated until learned. 5. Learning does not end. 6. "There" is no better than "here." 7. Others are only mirrors of you. 8. What you make of your life is up to you. 9. All the answers lie inside of you. 10. You will forget all of this at birth. http://www.amazon.com/Life-Game-These-Are-Rules/dp/0767902386?tag=donations09-20
"There are no mistakes, only lessons" . LOL The key words I read from your post are:- 'if' and 'rules'. I am now reminded of this well-known quotation - "Rules are meant to be broken". By the way, I like Point #3 which says:- "There are no mistakes, only lessons". Someone posted this blog; http://geminigeek.com/blog/archives/2004/10/rules-are-meant-to-be-broken-right/ .
Yes, rules should be broken. But... “Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively.” ― Dalai Lama XIV "Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” ― Pablo Picasso
14th Dalai Lama is my happy Buddha . I am always finding our 14th Dalai Lama very wise. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalai_Lama_XIV He is usually making witty quotes that make us laugh (although making us think twice). IMHO, his message to us is:- "Stay happy, and enjoy life". To me, he is my happy Buddha. .
