His name is Mads (that's why I like him :D:D). He coached the German team in the last Thomas/Uber Cup. If you remember correctly, the women did quite well.

It was an awesome sight to witness Taufik's defensive cross-court backhand clear. Talk about very explosive forearm muscles!

Cameraman dude was also the interviewer. He then interviewed a coach from RichmondPro (wanted a Mandarin speaking person)

All I wanted to do was witness his vaunted backhand. I was quite satisfied with his impressive arsenal of backhand shots :eek:

Common problem for BWF.. They always do the exact same thing with German Open. Call it a GP Gold on the calendar, even though prize money is only US$ 80000. Then few weeks before tournament start they downgrade it on the calendar to GP.

I dont know why they do this, but my guess is they want more people to enter and if its known to bea GP Gold it is more likely that players enter. Then players realize too late that it is not a GP gold but only a GP!
wouldn't surprise me if this is true! it is BWF we are talking about! :p

Those are some great pictures madbad. Thanks so much for uploading.:)

Why is it that you can't turn the camera around and take a picture of yourself? Arms too short or head too big?;)

    Hmm..

..yes, BWF probably would schedule the SS first. But to combine the U.S. and Canada as one SS, say the North American Super Series, hmmm, that would be quite a logistical challenge, as i'm sure both countries would love to host some matches.
..did you ask him how he trained to get those "explosive forearm muscles"??;)
..did you ask him what string tension he used??..;)
    Glad you joined the festivities..
..it could be a typo on their(BWF) part. I've mentioned it on this thread, 1st post (this yr, it's the U.S. Open and the Dutch Open):

*Thanks, Hau-ge, for informing us of Andrew's upcoming tourney schedule..
**whlfever, thanks for sharing your pics & those with the players:cool:
