Time for another fun racket quesiton ;).
What i want to know is if I am going to get one of the following rackets: mp99/100 and AT700/800(DE/OF), what of them will generally fit best for both use in single and double games?
Of what i've read in the forums and on roadmaps they are listed a little like:

    Single Games <--- X ---> Double

    Mp100 AT700 Mp99 AT800(DE and OF)

Maybe thats totally wrong, but it is a little of what i've understood.
The question is, and this for pretty high lvl play. Not elite but above intermediate play at least. If I buy a mp99/AT700/mp100 I could use those in both single and double games? or maybe only mp99 and At700 is well suited for that?
And the AT800.. even the OF one, is that only to forget to play singles with, or might it actually be a choice anyway?

One good indicator would be the pros themselves - so far I have noticed from the photos that MP99 is very popular amongst both singles and doubles players.

    Jonas Rasmussen
    Ra Kyung Min
    Gao Ling
    Lin Dan
    Sony Dwi Kuncoro
    Zhang Ning.

Thus it is balanced enough for both types of play.
If you have the money to burn though, get one of each. Most people I know have two, each for different events.

Please note that the yellow power racquets used by top world ranked players is only MP99 and not MP90. There goes some silly claims that MP90, made in Japan, is better. If that were true, then Lin Dan must have been an idiot. And so were others. It cannot be, can it? And the MP99 used by the Indonesians are SP model. Still confused?

I think MP90/99 is a all rounder racket. One of the best racket in my opinion.

Let's get not get off topic with JP/SP/tension and such. These issues have been very extensively covered in other threads.

    Thanks :)

BTW, I'm curious about the racket Rasmussen's partner is holding. What model of racket he is using in photo shown above?

Ti 10 3U should be a good choice. My sister is using it for doubles, but I've tried it and it's absolutely suitable for singles as well, given it's ease for clearing.

    Since we're on this topic,
What string goes best with mp99?

I've used bg70 last and now back to bg65,
still can't seem to fit for the mp99, bg70 did feel good,
but durability of it isn't the greatest.

    Any suggestion?

    Thx.
    D.

Okay, Mp99 sounds like a very good choice to start with. Is any U in particular i should prefer(for both single and double) and what is this pro players using.. like Jonas Rasmussen and Lin Dan and them?
I think there is 3U and 4U maybe on mp99 if i'm not wrong?

Generally.. is U just important to the individual player or is it so that maybe single players uses lower U(to get some more power) on their rackets than double or so?

IMHO, the MP99 can be both a singles and doubles racket, depending on your style of play.. its powerful enough for agrressive smashes and punches... but equally adept at clears and defensive pushes...
