Greetings,

It's about time to ask John-W for our Return Match with Wesley !!!

I will do this myself. :):):)

BTW, John-W and Anne-W will be celebrating with us the Chinese New Year 2007 Banquet/Dinner on Saturday 10-Feb-2007.

So I will be asking John-W at the CNY Celebration, when Wesley wants their Return Match.

It will also depend on when/how the JT Ultra's and Highvale's arrangement with us, their Return Matches.

May members@ccc also do some brainstorming on this matter.

I have sent a mail to John-W, regarding our CCC Vs Wesley Return Match.

Hi John,

I have suggested to you that perhaps our Return Friendly Match (to be held at CCC@Waverley) should be held during the closure of MSAC because of the Grand Prix 2007.

This will give your Wesley members a chance to play while Wesley Badminton is closed.

The proposed details for our Return Friendly Match are;
When: 7:30pm-10:30pm, Friday 16-Mar-2007
Where: CCC Badminton, [FONT=Bitstream Vera Sans, sans-serif]Waverley Christian College, 1248 High Street Road, Wantirna South[/FONT]

The format of our Return Match would be the same as per our first match, that is; 4 Doubles partnerships from each club and each playing the other club's 4 partnerships.

So, be prepared for this Return Match next Friday, 16-Mar-2007.

We will allocate 2 courts for this match, and we will allow our other Players@CCC to carry on with their regular Friday Night Social games on the other 2.

Who will participate in this Return Match???...... I, as captain of this match, will be informing you soon.

Only Members@CCC are eligible to participate in this Return Match. Too late at night now, for me to think and to select players. :):):)

Our memberships have increased since our first match. And I would be selecting the top players from our new memberships to participate in this match.

Since I am also taking care of all the other Social Players@CCC, I wish not to play. Otherwise, I would find that I could not be organising you guys adequately.

Tomorrow, I will go through the results from our CCC Handicapped Games over the last few weeks to select our 8 teammates for this match.

Don't be too modest, with 2 x AT900Ts ,one 29lbs and the other 26lbs. Well, you should be right up there. Anyone needs disposal goggles (3 for 10AUD). How about Capt's partner?

Tell you what... organising events can give you silver hair. :):):)

From our CCC side, I have only reponses from DoublesPlease, BadFever and andrewlyw.

And from the Wesley side, only Robert-Q mentioned of coming.

Where have all the other players gone ???
And as usual, I will be organising Supper after our match... and here, I need numbers... to book/inform our restaurant of how many persons for our attendance.

Can everyone make haste ???...... We only have 2 days to go. :):):)

yschin, sorry to disappoint you but I only tension to 25lbs. Getting too old liao and my bones are telling me that they will screw me big time if I play with high tension. So, back to kiddy pool for now.

hey badfever, don't be too modest la.. I only use 24lbs and you are using 25lbs...:D so that makes you a bigger kiddy than me..:p

I emailed you last Friday 9th March to say that I expected that the friendly match would proceed - I just needed to confirm the players - most of whom I spoke to last Monday week.

To date I have got:-
John Weisheit, Jack Parr, Michael Tomic, Vien, Alister Lath.

Cliff Wiltshire and Robert Quenter said that they would also come - I have not heard back from them apart from the Monday night invitation at social.

I also emailed Steven Ho and Doug Knee, neither of whom were present on Monday 5th March - however I have not heard back from them.

At this stage I have probably got 7 players, but not sure about Doug or Steven.

was browsing a friends 6mth old 'asia badminton' magazine today. a good section on smash stroke & exercises. I thought of u & photocopied the section for u - u may like the pics ;)
yschin - u seen this mag in malaysia? good articles & pics. can't find subscription details in it thou :(

Perhaps yschin can buy one of each edition for us in Malaysia before he returns to Melbourne next month.

Badminton Asia is a very nice magazine. Managed to read a copy when I was in Southern Star last week. It's really thick with plenty of pictures, interviews with coaches and players, equipment reviews and badminton academy contact numbers around the world. I think about 150 pages. Unfortunately, I have the same experience as LilyC. Worse, I emailed them to subscribe but didn't even get a reply. :mad: Next time, I am going to create a fake email account named Lily or Lisa or Stephanie before emailing those idiots. ;) :p

Hi LilyC, you don't have to go to Southern Star as yschin is bringing back a copy from Malaysia soon, I think he is coming back next week.
