With a coach as good and responsible like Rexy, if he were to coach like say Fu/Cai, they will probably be winning every touranemnt by now.. not that the Chinese coach is bad or anything. But Rexy had done so much for his team, and even risk losing his job to keep those fools like CTK/LWW whom can't even get along as a team and can't stop losing. If I get paid a salary as much as Rexy, I ain't risking crap for those losers by any chance... that's why I am a good coach..

How much are you willing to pay for lessons? I heard Kim Dong Moon charges about $70/hour with subsidies from Calgary Winters Club... since I don't get susidy from CWC... how about just $70/hour, and you provide the shuttles, pay for the rent of the gym, and bring me some beverges. I don't take credit card or personal checks by the way, cash only so I don't have to pay tax...LOL

I will teach what "fighting spirit" really is, when you stand on one side of the court(without a racket or any protection), and I keep smashing a tennis ball at you... then if that's not enough, we will use baseballs instead.

I know what you mean... but tell me how you will call people whom waste opportunities to become the best(they beat each other more than the opponents do) with all the resources and everything provided to them... I don't know a better word, but maybe you do.

Unfortunate??? You mean they are unfortunate to get paid for playing badminton even if they don't produce results???

We, here in Calgary,Canada... to get professional training, you join a club that cost you like $15,000+ U.S dollars annual membership club... pay the coach for coaching and training... unless you are sponsored, you are pretty much screwed since most average family can't afford that much for just badminton alone.

If fortunate enough, you become a national player professionally, you tend to go out and compete by paying half if not more of all expenses out of your own wallet... and most likely you will get owned(since badminton is not popular, and hard to find good coaching...now is better though) as soon as you get to play someone with the likes of Gade, LCW, TH, LD...in the early rounds for the next 5-10 years then your badminton career is pretty much over... NOW THIS IS UNFORTUNATE.

I'm on the same boat with some of the above posts as well..
IMO, i think Rexy made that emotional outburst cos he just felt pressured and burdened..I'm sure Rexy is a very responsible and demanding person..But my hunch is, it is probably a product of his own high demand which caused him to make such a "burst of decision"..
I mean, just look at what he had to offer for MDs.. His #1, supposedly, pair had undergone some changes, with TBH being paired with KKK for what, a couple months or so??...And them being so young, they're put in a "pressure cooker" situation..I mean, sure, even though they've seen some early success, but both players haven't played with each other long enough..CCM was KKK partner longer than TBH...As far as the 2nd MAS pair, well, it goes back to experience..
So, again, i think Rexy was just "unfortunate" to be put in a tough spot. He just needs to calm down and go back to the drawing board and decide where do KKK and TBH go from here. CCM is still available, but who will he partnered with??..

Rexy should come to Spore where I'm sure he 'll coach the MD brothers to their first title and he can fire up some new MDs like he did with MAS. The good thing is , in Spore he will not need to dismantle oldies cos there are none. Spore BA,I hope you make your move. Rexy is ready to go.

Singapore can afford to pay Rexy actually.. but personally.. Rexy feels very at home in Malaysia already.

..hehehe, i know you guys in S'pore want(and probably can afford) Rexy, but don't you think PBSI would love to have him back??. ..or, ehm, i know it's going to be far away from home again for Rexy, but maybe Rexy will consider moving and coaching in the U.S.??..we've got Tony and Halim here already..cough2, ahem, ahem, ..

Totally agree. Why would the boys who worship Rexy not trust him? But performance during training is one thing;it does not easily transfer into the highly competitive atmosphere where constant adjustments to your opponents is key. The young MDs skills may not be internalised enough to execute Rexy's game plan. It usually takes some 3 years of high level match experience to deliver consistently, no short cut there.
I believe Rexy's keen to showcase his portfolio; instead he was humbled. Rexy's a great coach but for the 100m, not the marathon. MAS should get Tan Kim Her on board. Rexy should come to Spore where I'm sure he 'll coach the MD brothers to their first title and he can fire up some new MDs like he did with MAS. You wish Rexy would go there yea? I know lots of countries would like him coaching their teams.

But his question of the players commitment and trust in him is understandable. Cut short, our players are nubs. We won't win any major titles for the next 2 years in the MD at the rate we're going. You can quote me on this if you guys like for I can say safely that we are getting sloppier, and that our players are really not champions. We have no champion material in our camp despite what everyone says.

To not be able to take the pressure within their stride is such a piece of bull excuse. Enough excuses. We need results. If they can't deliver, screw it, cut them off from the association, there's a lot waiting for a chance to perform for the country.

Please just quit and go to India where they need more help to get badminton there on its feet! Besides, you will be helping the development of worldwide badminton...

We in Indonesia fear Malaysia more when you're on their bench. Give us a chance of getting the Thomas Cup back in the next couple of years without facing you on the other side. If you go to India, you will probably need 5 to 10 years to make them contenders. Over that period of time, we will do what we have to do to Malaysia. It should be easier to defeat them if you're not there.
