what would be saina's ranking like after this tournament, i think she has not registered for any of the remaining grand prix gold tournaments.
Saina Nehwal Bags her 10th SS title! Saina Nehwal is a serious contender for Rio. She makes India proud with scintillating badminton. This will be a mental boost. I was a little worried when Sun Yu got 19 points in game 3 but Saina held her nerve!
who is Umendra Rana??? Bai says he is just 28 and as with the team assisting GOPI @ London.... gosh... Andre Villas-Boas of badminton... Hope Srikanth and Sindhu and everyone else gets inspired from Saina.... And win too.
Umendra Rana coached her during the tournament. Vimal Kumar is still her coach, according to newspapers. I guess Umendra Kumar coached her in his stead, because Vimal Kumar did not travel to Indonesia and Denmark. Sent from my YU5010 using Tapatalk
Umendra Singh Rana is one of the National coach of India . He coached senior indian badminton team in 2012 olympics too and still giving coaching for 2016 olympics in banglore with Vimal kumar ,their main focus is to coach Saina at its best these days . Yeah...no doubt he is the youngest coach and talented too His career as a Badminton player broke when he met a serious accident when he was just 15 & was on bed for more than 1 year.....but came back into his passion as a coach...inspiring isn't it

On another note... I was looking at some of Saina's matches and I feel that this AOSS is one of the best performances from Saina that I have ever seen. This is also the first time in over a year(few years?) that she actually managed to win a tournament that LXR played. But she needs to keep improving to increase her medal chances. This time in Rio there will be so many great WS players.
Saina talks: She thinks playing an aggressive game has helped her. Vimal Kumar's opinion: https://sportscafe.in/articles/badm...to-see-saina-attacking-well-coach-vimal-kumar He thinks Saina is moving faster than ever before. They both agree that there is a lot of scope for improvement over the next few weeks. Saina was also asked about the "Tai Puzzle". She was all praises for her. In my opinion, Tai can only be deceptive if she gets time(that is, if she is in position). Saina should try to keep Tai busy with her attack and move her around. Also, Saina should position herself better so that she has to move less.
Hard to believe it's already 10 years since Phillipines.... In the last 10 years, you have cracked uncharted territory and gone where no India woman had gone before.... Esp the 3 bronzes... Here's to 5 more years of dominance
Even i was wondering . She might have gone out of city. Otherwise, it is such a cute group pic. Some faces are unfamiliar to me. The boy behind Arun Vishnu and a girl sitting next to Sikki reddy ( Is that Pradnya gadre?)
