That's a nice one, Maz! Caught us by surprise! I don't think I can take another one with her as security here is much tighter than in MEC. Unless I can borrow ants VIP pass (or even Glen's of Philippines) and steal a photo with Saina, without ants intruding.
great thread! This is a great thread, but shouldn't this be in the "Professional Players" sub-forum? Maybe we can ask Kwun to move this thread so that it won't get lost in the "2006 Tournaments" sub-forum.

Hello Mr Harvir Singh. Your daugther played very well. With her commitment and your neverending support, i'm sure she will make an impact in the world badminton arena. Anyhow i also hope she will do well in the Jr Asian Championship.
It's been a long time since Camellia, has there been anyone who can challenge China's supremacy in the woman singles.A young bright star has finally emerged from India to trouble the chinese girls. She is indeed skilful player who also packs power.Saina will be a delight to watch.
Dr Singh You're a lucky father with such a talent as Saina. As I've mentioned in my other thread, I've seen your lovely daughter play in Singapore and met her again in Melbourne this March. What a change a year or two can make! She was in devastating form during the MCG and many of us here, particularly those from Australia like Chris, Maz, BadFever, Kim, FEND, had a chance to witness her brilliant display. Are you a badminton player yourself and did you influence Saina in taking up the game? How was Saina when she was young? Do give her your encouragement, especially when she is 'down' as it will happen from time to time, and start to treat her like a young lady, not a child anymore! We in BF will be following her progress closely and wish her well in her training and future development. Please say a big hello to Saina on our behalf!
Dear Dr. Harvir Singh, First of all, I'd like to say that your daughter is very blessed to have a very loving and supportive father. If you and your daughter Saina have the time, please join our local (Philippine) badminton forum. Here is the link to our site: Pinoybadminton, inc. Our local badminton players can learn a lot from your daughter's experience and talent. Thank you for your time. Mike

Saina to lead India in Asian junior badminton Jun. 30, 2006 A 12-member junior team, led by teenage sensation Saina Nehwal, would be seen in action at the Asian Junior Badminton Championship in Kuala Lampur from July 3-9. Saina, seeded second in the tournament, has got a bye in the first round. The team members are scheduled to leave for Malaysia tonight. The 16-year-old girl from Hyderabad reached the pre-quarterfinal in the previous edition but with a recent Grand Prix title -- Philippines Open -- under her belt, the world no 42 would look to prove herself in the junior circuit as well. World no 39 and top seed in the tournament, Korea's Jang Soo Young and third seed Xing Aiying of Singapore could pose a challenge for the Indian starlet
