Well done Wong Mew Choo, she bt 2 favourite players in WS, Li Li and Silvi in 2 games.

Congrats to MAS MD and INA WD, they will get gold & silver.

Poor Luluk/Alven, I thought Alven too tired, he played 3 matches in a day (2 in rubber), another bad signed in individual players by INA official. Alven should be focused only in MD and Markis/Liliana (Asian Jr Champion) is better in MXD.

    Final : INA 4, MAS 4 and THA 2

I always knew that Mew Choo has it in her, I pray she continues to prove me right during tomorrow's final. She deserves better and winning the gold will force BAM to pay more attention to the girls.

Roslin was a mistake to be sent since day 1, Misbun should have used Lee Chong Wei. At least he would not have been trashed so badly. Good bye Roslin, you have had your time, give the young ones a chance and move aside.

Choong Hann should take the gold tomorrow if he plays to his form.

Sony was in great form playing with ease and fluidity and Choong Hann made too many unforced errors to give Sony the gold medal too easily.

However 20-year old Mew Choo continued her good run by beating the gallant 19-year old Salakjit with similar scores of 11-5 in both games. Mew Choo will become an overnight celebrity and a toast for the Malaysian fans because she has broken the 32-year gold drought by a women singles player. Malaysia's last gold winner in this event was Sylvia Ng in the 1971 Manila SEAP Games. We will see more of Mew in the international arena, I'm sure.

I've just witnessed the live telecast showing Malaysia winning another gold medal as veterans Lee Wan Wah/Choong Tan Fook beat their compatriots, Chew Choon Eng/Chang Kim Wai rather convincingly 15-6, 15-5 in an all-Malaysian men's doubles final.

So, to a certain extent, Malaysia has won back some respect after their unexpected and disastrous defeat in the men's team event by the second-stringers of Indonesia. But this uncharacteristic yo-yo performance by their men's team does not bode well for their Thomas Cup ambitions. They really have to pull up their socks if they want a good showing!

Singapore's gold medal women's team performed rather disappointedly as none of our girls reached the final in the individual events. Consistency is the name of the game and if either countries want to do well, their players must stay focus and show that they are hungry for success!

Too bad malaysia didnt manage to get clean sweep in badminton. Only Singles and Mixed we didnt manage to get gold.

Too bad Wong CH lost to Sony.. maybe Sony read all Wong's shots. Wong not as agressive as Sony.
