Shoes manufactured one year ago

    I live in China. Im eyeing for a pair of shoes that is Li Ning. Its the 2019 version. If i buy those shoes brand new , will the rubber become stiff and traction lost after some time ? Because the shoes are manufactured in 2019. I read somewhere that even if you dont use a badminton shoe, the rubber gets stiff overtime

    Rubber can age & crumble for sure.
    But as long its kept well, not exposed to extreme heat/cold, 1 year might still alive.
    If you buy physically at store, try to pinch it. If it still soft, its fine.

    Agreed. Very much depends how the shoes are stored. IF it is Hot and Humid conditions, the glue of the shoe will melt.

    But 1 year should be safe and fine in general. unless stored in extreme conditions
