An old Yonex Isometric Omega 5 - medium flex 3U4 from 2010. Before closing the gymnasium for 2 months , my club cleared their storage and threw a few rackets in the trash including that one because the strings were broken... Thought it would be cool to restore it instead of letting it be thrown away especially it looked pretty intact. I cleaned it with alcohol, disinfected the wooden handle and added a new Yonex grip and overgrip. It will be strung with BG80 at 11kg. Anyone ever played with that 2010 racket?
Wow, you got lucky. At least you got a free racket. Nice cleanup and seems no scratches and cracks. Looks brand new to be exact. Don't know the specs of the racket though.
It's described as a medium one and it feels like. I couldn't find the balance specs but it is an even racket being balanced at 315mm without strings, grip or overgrip. The balance already went way down with the grip and overgrip on. Nice collection of classic racket you have! Restoring this racket had me wanting to find more unused racket to refurbish from that era around the 2010's and after. I still want to play with it... those armortec looks amazing!

Not sure if this is the right topic to discuss racket comparison. But anyway, I play doubles mostly and I have been thoroughly enjoying my 88D. If you smash often, this would be perfect for you. I usually don't smash much, but after a month of playing with this, I now smash a lot and it feels a lot easier and more powerful. I have never played with 68D so I can't help you there. But from what I have heard, the low end astrox are made in Taiwan and are probably 60-70% effective as the high end one's. But ya, logically, more money should render better quality. Consider this as an one time investment. If you aren't playing in tournaments, just playing casually, then I don't think it should matter much. Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk
Victor Thruster K Dong. Been using this Since a Year. Hard to find one as this was launched in Mainland China. Only Racket i use and One of the best Paint jobs I've seen.
Toppo , How's your experience with TK Dong? I am planning to purchase one. In India Victor has introduced it. I have ordered for 4U version. Previously I was using Voltric 7. Kindly tell me about your TK Dong experience.
@rkukg After a year i'd say Tk-Dong is an Offensive beast. Paired it with VBS-68. The racket feels head heavy as i've got the 4U version too. The thing is its compact head and Durable frame with the stiff slim shaft, the Smashes are powerful and precise. I'd compare this with a VTZF2 for the yonex counterpart and Older Thruster 9K's. Some people don't like head heavy rackets as it feels odd but if you're not one of them you'll totally love this. In Defense too its quite quick. No issues in returning fast smashes back into opponent's Third/Long service line.
