A section of the SO crowd turned up just to watch LCW play. They streamed in just before his match and streamed out 25 mins later.(But Rudy have seen it all so he went for durians instead) LCW is such a crowd puller.
Pics with the Lady Stars Rudy and I decided to get one up on madbad. Since we are unlikely to beat him in the SO PAW game, we thought we better beat him in getting to his darling player Hwang Hye Youn first before he did. So here goes and we got an additional bonus when we saw Mew Choo sitting on a chair and cutting some plasters with a scissor on our way out for dinner. Naturally we took the chance to have a photo with her.
Loh, I really envy you. You managed to take a pic with the Korean lass....Hwang HY is sooooooooooooooo beautiful.
Uncle Loh, I have 1 too, took during TC/UC final...but using Jimbo's camera, so can't post here.... She is very polite...she apologized to me on behalf of the team for losing to Korea in Q/F when she knew that we went there purposely to give our support....walau eh....humble, polite sweet and lovely.... Really proud of her, WONG MEW CHOO
Wow, that pic with HHY is certainly a coup Quite a few here would give their badminton arm to be in a pic like this one This must have been before her loss to WMC - she can't have been smiling after that rout
OT: Is he the one that's in all sorts of trouble in London? That brother is quite estranged from the Sultan. Perhaps this is another brother?
The scandalous brother is the youngest (was finance minister, sued by the Sultan, exile in the UK). The Sultan is the eldest (believe is now keeping a grip on $ also), the second is the foreign minister, and the third is the sport minister, all 4 of them. Not sure if they still hold the same posts but possible multiple key ones. My guess is the sport minister coming to town.
As though the lucky prize of a red Mazda is not enough to attract attention, during the SF, there were also "yellow" badminton players in all shapes and sizes to make the head turn. Probably a PR exercise to connect the spectators to the dominant corporate colour of Aviva, the main sponsor.
.....I think most of them are tennis players.....the way they hold the grips...INA official teased Vita to teach them how to hold grip in proper way...
