I was amazed to see so many groupies. Teenage girls screaming like crazy for KOR players. Imagine when LYD plays tomorrow.. Hmm..

Had Simon and Sonny had groupies? Istora audiences cheer them on cause they are Indonesia players and not that they are their fav badminton players.

Meanwhile TaufiK H, he had lot of groupies when he was young and not married. :p

Was our trademark too ....... but only at Stadium Negara. Now the atmosphere is gone for good.

Those were the days where there were no deafening clappers, 'cos you don't need 'em.

No, probably too busy just being the commentator ..... :p

this just shows that the ina fans and crowds are bringing some bad images to the badminton sport. what the heck the current issue got to do with badminton? this can be shown that not just badminton get a bad image, i'm afraid even the country itself will get a kind of image by ppl around the world though.:(
p/s I'm not pointing fingers to anyone here though..
this is totally stupidity imo. mas players will surely get destracted with this :rolleyes:..I remember watching on tv last year ina open md final where fuzzy vs gunawan and chandra.. when fuzzy takes a shot.. the crowd will shout a boo:mad:..at last when fuzzy won, i'm quite happy actually.;) at least they manage to silent the crowd to dead.
that's not a very good thing to do though...even if mas vs another player's country.. at least be neutral. no need to anti -malaysia until like that actually. even in malaysia open in stadium putra, mas fans doesnt do that.
erm, actually do you guys so love that kind of trademark?:(

    Hmm...

..a few or a lot of them groupies could be the same INA BCers who've been posting in LYD's thread..;)
..abedeng can be the BC peace-maker Ambassador..;)
..i was reading Krisna's post and the thought of another INA BCer (don't recall his screen-name, from UK, who's well known to despise anything MAS related crossed my mind)...don't know if he'll show up here & read this or not...:p

BCL did the right thing by withdrawing from Djarum Indonesian SS tournament.
His body won't be able to take the 'punishment' of a grueling tournament for the next 5 days and he could even be eliminated in the 1st round just like ZM.

BC peace-maker? Quite impossible given the "overheated" exchanges within the forum alone, I'm actually glad that I'm not one of the overworked moderators .... :p

Though when there are neighbourly spats like this, puts me in a bit of difficulty, especially since I have relatives in Central Java, Southern Thailand and Singapore.

Bringing bad images?:rolleyes: We did not start it...

Oh, we notice 2 MAS players that the INA crowd didn't boo: WMC and LCW... :D Maybe out of respect for these 2... or... maybe we were just too distracted watching the other matches we didn't realize they entered the stadium floor... :p

I think is not the issue about which country started it first. is about the crowd being immature for bringing national issues which have absolutely nothing to do with sport into the stadium. Although, you might argued that is only natural for the audiences to do so but remember here that the players there are innocent.I don't know if you guys care about this: but booing players for no good reason(unless the palyers have huge attitude problems) will only bring bad images to Indonesia as a whole. People will think that Indo is not a friendly/safe country(be it the players who got booed or foreign players who just feel that the audiences are not being polilte).

Well, you guys have a choice. If case like audience throwing objects and injuring players really happened, you can rest assure that most likely it will be an all Indos tournament in the next year Indo Open as no country will risk sending their players to Indo just to see them get injured by the crowd.

    Just my 2 cents.
