The scratch CHN XD pair Yu Xiaoyu/Xia Huan is through to the final, more impressive than the better-known junior CHN pair Zheng Siwei/Chen Qingchen on the adjacent court who is one game to the good and leading in the second set at the moment.

But I have to add, the INA pair Kido/Bernadeth made too many uncharacteristic errors , esp in G2.

He Bingjiao has to step up her game and cut down on unforced errors afterwards. So far in this tournament she has yet to reproduce the same form as she had in the previous CHN Masters event which she won.

ZSW/CQC made two errors on deuce,22-20, to allow the INA to force the decider.

HBJ takes the opening game, 21-17, but already I see her breathing hard.

Both the 18-yr-old ladies are raring to go , on court well before the umpire announces 'twenty seconds'.

Somehow I still find HBJ's fitness suspect.

Well, when the interviewer asked HBJ whether at any stage of the match she thought she might lose, and she answered, yes.

Boonsak Ponsana understood the interviewer's questions in English and didn't need the translator but chose to reply in Thai which the interpreter had to translate into English.

According to the commentator Steen Pedersen, Qiao Bin is 25 years old already.

Meanwhile Kawakami is besting Cheung, not the other way round as I originally expected.

A better G2 for Cheung. Kawakami looks to be another runner.

Cheung duly equalizes with G2, 21-15.

Ponsana faulted for touching the net, the shuttle didn't come over.

Kawakami outlasted Cheung in the end.

If He Bingjiao's attack is not penetrating enough and her fitness not up to it tomorrow, Kawakami will tire her out by throwing everything back and moving her all over the court as well counterattacking whenever the opportunity arrives.

Earlier , Lee Hyun Il's stroke play with the occasional attack and overall shot quality are so good and consistent that he tamed Hsu Jen Hao in two easy sets, 21-13,21-6.

Frankly, I don't see Qiao Bin troubling, much less beating, him tomorrow though I won't expect a one-sided match.
