Just rest two other SS in China and Hongkong.
Let guess who will be qualified as top 8 player in each category (regardless perhaps some players choose to skip participating).
I hope CHN won't do anymore

Not many players who has ensured their points to qualified to final
Only LCW (MS) and Thomas/Kamilla (XD) got 100% ticket I guess

Other strong candidate (based on SS Standing)
MS: 2 CHN (but still not sure who, I guess between CJ, CL, or LD. However DP and BCL still rest hope), Peter Gade, Boonsak, and Nguyen Tien Minh.

    2 are still very open.
Just lucky guess may be Taufik and Jorgenssen.
Yun Hu (HKG) could be dark horse. Remember that last SS will be in his country and now he is standing 6th. But, Yun Hu does not play in France and China.

WS: 2 CHN (but still not sure who, I guess between WSX, WY, WX, or JYJ. WY has bigger chance as she will not play in AG-Guangzhou. She also play in France this week),
    BYJ, Tine Rasmussen

    4 are still very open.
Hirose, Yippie, Saina, Yao Jie, and SHJ leads until this time.
But, Petya and Salakjit also runs in last 3 SS rest

    MD: SHK/YSY (KOR), Boe/Mogensen, KKK/TBH, Fang/Lee (TPE), CY/FHF
KOR will have another MD2 in top 8 (three others MD will compete, but I vote LYD/JJS)
CHN will also have another MD2 in top 8 (let XC/GZ compete against ZN/BC)

I am gambling 1 place rest for Kido/Setiawan (they have to work hard at least to grab better point than second CHN MD and/or Hashimoto/Hirata)

    WD: Cheng/Chien (TPE), 2 JPN WD (Mizuki/Reika, Miyuki/Satoko), Petya/Anastasia, Shu Chen/Yunlei

3 places are still very open
Another CHN should run for a point (let's take Yu Yang/Xiaoli)
I guess 2 other places for Duananong/Kunchala (THA, they have advantage playing in France) and LHJ/KMJ (KOR)

If not all 3 of them, other candidates are Greysia/Meliana (unfortunately, they skip France and also CHN, not sure if they play in HKG) or other KOR WD2

XD: Zieba/Mateusiak, Nova/Liliyana (hope for last their performance before Liliyana officially continue pair with Tontowi), Hendra/Vita, Sudket/Saralee

Other 3 places are still very open for quite many candidates.
There are 2 KOR, 2 TPE, Songphon/Kunchala, Nathan/Jenny, and CHN pair (I feel that not more 1 CHN XD will be in top 8, as they play scratch pair).

What do you think? Give your opinion

MS : current top 4 is quite confirmed to qualify : LCW, Gade, Boonsak, Taufik. 2 Chinese player also almost certain but which 2. The other 2 is likely Jan and Nguyen, unless someone else other than Lin Dan or Chen Jin can perform well in the last 2 SS
WS : very close between many players. All depend on the last 2 SS. Wang Yihan and Tine almost certain.
MD : only Boe/Mogensen is almost sure. The next 13 pairs are quite close
    WD : Petya/Anastasia, 2 Japanese WD, Chien/Cheng almost certain
XD : Laybourn/Juhl is certain. Nova/Lily probably not qualify since they are not playing the last 2

After finishing China SS Final, just rest another one this week.
Super Series standing (point calculation for SS final) has also updated. Let's see

    MS:
only 10 players still has opportunity (3 CHN MS are included, BCL will not play in HKG and LD has lossed his chance).
    6 tickets seem already booked
LCW, Peter Gade, Boonsak, Chen Long, Taufik, Jorgenssen
    2 other tickets are for:
    Tien Minh or Hu Yun
(they do probably meet in second round, if Hu Yun can defeat Hayom). Bigger chance for Tien Minh
    Du Pengyu or Chen Jin
(Pengyu has grabbed better point now. But in HKG, Pengyu has to meet Taufik in first round, while Chen Jin at least should pass until quarter and high probably against LCW) The only chance for Chen Jin to go to Taipei is if he could beat LCW, and Du Pengyu is defeated by Taufik.
It is very hard for Chen Jin as he do not have good head-to-head of LCW.

    WS:
    Nice competition for SS Final.
Just 4 tickets taken by Wang Yihan, Tine Baun, BYJ, and Yao Jie

1 "gold" ticket are managed to win by WSX, WX, and JYJ

It is difficult to guess to whom will 3 tickets belongs.
3 next top WS in SS standing are Petya, Yippie, and Salakjit. Still, both Sung Hyun Ji and Saina give a hope.

Petya and SHJ will fight each other in first round. Unfortunately, no matter who will win, should meet JYJ (probably) in second round.
Other scenario will have Salakjit vs Saina in 2nd round.
Yippie has such tricky drawing in which her path will chalenged by Korean, BSH and BYJ.

My subjective bet is that 3 tickets for Petya, Yippie, and Saina

    MD:
90% for sure who are top 8 pairs.
    Boe/Mogensen, KKK/TBH, Fang/Lee, SHK/YSY, LYD/JJS, Cai Yun/FHF, Zhang Nan/Biao Chai, and Kindra
I put my hope, no pairs of 8 withdraw.
I am not sure that Zhang Nan/Biao Chai to be longer, as in HKG, Biao Chai start to pair with GZD.
Alvent/hendra will be top waiting list in the standing.

    WD:
Almost the same, not many affords to be watched in purpose of SS Final
    I can say that 8 ticket for Cheng/Chien, Petya/Anastasia, Shu Chen/ZYL, Miyuki/Maeda, Mizuki/Reika, Duanganong/Kunchala, GreyMel, and Jung Eun/Kyung Eun
    (unfortunately LHJ has been retired)
Xiaoli/Yu Yang are almost impossible to qualify, even they should meet Shu Chen/ZYL in second round (it should be a "real" final actually).

    XD:
    6 tickets for Thomas/Kamilla, Robert/Nadiezda, Sudket/Saralee, Songphon/Kunchala, Hendra/Vita, and Jenny/Nathan.
With not bad performance in HKG, 2 tickets will be for Zhang Nan/ZYL and Jung Eun/SHK

It is possible for Chen Jin to enter top 8, but I should say that it is very hard.
To qualify in top 8 (and be better than Du Pengyu at least), given the fact only 1 SS rest, at least Chen Jin should reach semifinal (assuming Du Pengyu is beated by Taufik in first round). It means that Chen Jin should win against LCW in quarter final

It will be such a devastating blow again if China chose to have centralized winter training over the Super Series Final. You never know Li Yongbo wakes up which side of the bed and make his controversial decision. I worry more on Li Yongbo then players qualification for this event.
I hope giving ranking point will force Li Yongbo to suppress his personal agenda. Lets hope for the best.

Perhaps BWF should request LYB to become a BWF committee member

    .
    Agree.

While LYB is thinking of what is best for China, most Badminton fans are thinking of how/what is best for BWF to promote Badminton worldwide.

Perhaps BWF should request LYB to become a BWF committee member. ;););)

Lin Dan and Chen Jin are not included in top 8 MS for SS standing 2010, so that it will not be debatable then.
LD and CJ just play 5 and 6 SS this year.

Now, we'll see whether CHN think about the best for badminton. Should they send their representative to SS final
    MS: Chen Long, Du Pengyu
WS: Wang Yihan, WX/WSX (depends on HKG semifinal result)
    MD: Biao Chai/Zhang Nan,
Cai Yun/FHF (it is interesting to see whether CY/FHF go to SS Final after LYD/JJS beat them 4 times consecutively in 1,5 month)
WD: Shu Cheng/Zhao Yunlei, Xiaoli/Yu Yang
    XD: Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei

My guess is that at least 4 of 9 name in list will participate in final (but, of course I hope all 9 will go to final)

Hope so; that CHN players would participate.

BWF, tournament organisers, spectators and fans would be most happy. :):):)

Chen Jin can still make it to the SS final if DU Pengyu drops out. CJ is currently ranked 9.
