it doesn't. And hence it's normal that the turntable is moving during the pull.

Keep in mind that you have a fairly low-priced machine. The higher the priceing, the higher the build quality of the mechanical parts and the more smooth the rail surfaces most likely will be. You can easily "refine" them yourself with some fine sand paper though.

For older rackets (isometric) from yonex and other brands what pattern should I use?

What makes you think that you need different patterns? Just go with the standard 2-piece pattern for starters - they work on each and every racket out there.

I wasn’t sure if I could tie off at the same places as the 2 piece pattern.

Just look at the rackets for yourself and look for the big holes. You can tie off in any of those.

Typically T5 (5th hole from center for yonex and victor). Li-Ning usually T6.
Typically B6 and B8 for most Yonex (not e-tune rackets), Victor (not Meteors) and Li-Ning (sometimes B7 and B8)

As said earlier...look for the big holes. standard 2 piece yonex pattern applies to majority of rackets regardless of number of holes (babolat, forza and head are likely exceptions and you have to pay closer attention too)

I though they we’re all isometrics but I guess not lol…. One racket looked like an egg and was a pain in the butt to string! The grommets we’re much bigger then mine and the ones I replaced kept falling out.
