Hi badminton forum, i have a problem

I have a crank operated stringing machine at home. Yesterday night i was stringing my Armortec 700 with BG 66 Maxima at 25lbs. After the string the job was done, i checked the racket and the string and everything was fine. I went to sleep afterwards. This morning i woke up and when i was about the get change, i realise the string had burst at around the 10/2 o clock position.

This is not the first time that time that this had happened to me. It also happen when i was stringing my friend'a Aeronaut 7000i.

I realise that both the Armortec 700 and Aeronaut 7000i had the square kind of grommet installed at the top half of the racket.

However, i strung Bg 80 at 25lbs on the armortec 700 and everything fine.

Anyone know how to tackle this problem? Thanks!

I removed the string already, the frame was distorted when i saw the break. First thing in my mind was to cut the string. But i have a photo of it right after i strung it. I can highlight it for you[IMG]

did you check the condition of the grommet? AT700 has those grommet that is relatively soft. potential they need to be replaced.

Can it be because of the cranking speed?

Then you’re fast! Check the gripper and the clamps for if you can find some sharp edges. If you got the cut from above, then it can be the grommets, or you have tied the knot too hard so it has cut off the string in the end, if it happend at the knot

Then i guess it's the grommet. The string snapped at the top.

Maybe check your string mover/awl, the strings could be getting damaged when going through the shared holes at the top?

I don't think that's the problem because it only occurs when i string the Armortec 700, Armortec 700 Dragon and aeronaut series, all with the square grommets...
But i check the awl just to be safe! Thanks for the heads up!
