Has anyone ever tried these?
>Alpha BS61
>HPYJ HP66
>PA 2055
>Kawasaki

Compared to Yonex et al. these are insanely cheap somewhere between 20-60€/reel so would be interesting to know if they are utter rubbish or useable

Hello, I have tested Kawasaki KSB-68, around 50 or 60 euros/reel. This brand is a "real" one, which makes badminton products for a long time. IMHO, KSB-68 is a very good alternative to overrated, overpriced strings such as BG65...

I haven't tested the other ones (which are (too) much cheaper than Kawasaki). TAAN (Mage, Archer series...) seems also to be of interest.

Really keen to try the Alpha BS61 personally. I've tried the Alpha BS67 and they are surprising good the price! But they lose tension quickly if you're stringing above 28lbs. I've tried stringing the BS67 at 28lbs x 30lbs and it didn't actually break :D
I would recommend it if you're looking to provide a cheaper option for your stringing service/ if you wanna practice stringing and don't wanna buy strings that are complete crap :)

But personally I feel like I deserve better strings but also not splurge too much :) Therefore, I really recommend the Ashaway strings!

Have tried Alpha and PA as clients provided them for me to use to string, both were rubbish in my opinion and I consider them a waste of time. Stringing anything over 24lbs, these strings are very poor, some snap easily also over 26lbs.

I use only Yonex, Babolat and Ashaway myself as that's the demand here locally.

Kindest regards,

I use the alpha bs 61 in hybrid combination with the alpha bs68. Thats a great combination for a control string! One guy said, it was the best string he ever played with :)

I personally play with the alpha bs66. Thats a tremendous power with a very crisp feeling. I recommend it a lot and people are exited about it. It's very durable and of good quality as well. Only thing: It sometimes slips in my stringing mashine, so I have to use a piece of cardboard. 27lbs are no problem at all. Still very durable. I haven't strung with higher tensions yet.
The alpha BS 67 is also a very good string imo with a little softer touch than the bs66. A very good choice as well imo.

I strung alpha BS68 for people that are used to YY BG80: They found it equally good.

I've tried the HPJY HP66: It's an OK string with a very soft feeling. You should give it a try if you're into YY BG66UM. The Quality is good. Not so crisp.

I'm always very curious about new strings and tried about 20 of them. I used to think that only Yonex, Ashaway, Gosen make good strings. Keep beeing open minded and you'll be surprised. It makes me suspicious when strings are too cheap though.

kawasaki is a real good chinese brand, super popular in china theres a racket they sell which feels identical to the nanoflare 800 btw

I did try Alpha BS61. At the time I was an aerosonic user and the BS61 didn't feel great compared to AS.

More expensive strings to consider, but still way cheaper than yonex when you buy under the sales.
Taan Mage, brought the multicoloured strings for my friend and it's good enough for him. There's someone on the forum that picks it over LN1. This also comes in reels which would make it worth it.
I've tried 3 packs of Taan Elf (0.61mm) and I've enjoyed it.
I've also found but not tried some Taan x Kawasaki collaboration strings.
