But Taufik said it himself "It's no problem, the media wrote things up" :).

To verify all these, Lin Dan specially talked to Kuan Beng Hong, a Chinese in Malaysia team, asked him two questions, first, what exactly Taufik said, because Lin Dan himself doesn't understand English, second, whether it was true that so many players dislike him. Kuan told Lin that Taufik complained Lin never talk to him.

Why did he ask Kuan of all people??? Are they best buds or something??? I think Malaysians are something like the 'translators' in the badminton world. They can speak Chinese, Bahasa Malaysia is quite close to Bahasa Indonesia so there should be no problems since the basics are the same, and they can speak English, maybe that's why most of the players go to them.

It's a lot of 'handbags at 10 paces ' if you ask me.

No, LD and TH are not best of friends, they are serious athletes and professional rivals. In context of which, what Taufik said is alright: he said this is how LD is percieved.

At a guess, there are probably mind games here but hey, they are both big boys anbd if it adds a bit of spice to the fixture then good!

Some of your rivals you are going to feel close to, like LCW/ TH and some you will motivate yourself by hating your opponent a little in the match. But it's only what happens on the court. If they can come off it and have a beer afterwards or whatever then no harm done.

On the other hand Lin is arrogant and cocky and probably rubs Taufik up the wrong way. We all know people like that... But if it's a scenario like a guy at work who you are in competition for promotion with, it is probable that things will boil over from ti me to time.

Taufik is a complicated person, at a guess, he puts enormous amounts of pressure on himself for this tournament. He makes it a matter of personal honour to win the thing as he said he would - if he falls short he loses face. I don't think this is such a good thing - tying your sense of self worth to winning something, but with work, everyone does this to a certain extent.

As I said, to these guys it's serious business. I play socially, it is not the end of the worl;d if I lose (though I probably do sulk for a couple of days if it's a match I really set my heart on winning!) But it's not my job, and if it was, I would probably feel the same about a cocky bigmouth like Lin Dan.

all you can say is that ur every great players' fan... but we forumers obviously know by your posts that your a BIG BIG LD fan, and (most probably) a TH hater... so please, shut up because when LD wins.. you always brag about it.. remember "why taufik lost?" thread? :p:p:p peace!:D

btw, i don't really care if either LD or TH wins.. I just want two of my favorite players to play a very good game and level their head-to-heads...:D

cooler and bic33 both, should come back down to earth.. HAHA... I guess cooler is not the only person who brags a lot when his or her favourite player wins. :D As long as he/she doesnt insult the opponent too much, i guess it's fine.. hehe..
