Have you seen their doubles? It's very very unlikely. But their singles are very dangerous indeed, but against any strong team (China, Korea, Indonesia) that's all they can get. Even Thailand is looking dangerous now with their new XD pair, all they need is an upset win somewhere else and RI to perform and they can beat many teams...not those mentioned above though. I think :D

My sentiments too, but, although IND doubles leaves much to be desired, one of them may cause an upset if , say, IND WS ,or less so, MS, wins a match, then the situation for the favoured team becomes a pressure cooker and almost anything can happen.

Without doubt, THA is a capable team with an outside chance of upsetting any of the top 3 teams you alluded to, I'd say THA is overall a little stronger than IND.

    THA is indeed very strong.
but if against CHN, KOR, JPN/INA they stand even less chance than IND/MAL
let's see. RI not in form, other then AE she has failed to impress
Tanongsak maybe tricky but you dont expect him to def big names
Sapsiree/Dechapol now that's a pair to watch out for, ill give them heavy odds against anybody but CHN and KOR
Sapsiree/Putitta no dobt they have come a long way, but 1. Sapsiree doing double duty , 2. they are yet no where near CHN, JKE/SSC; CYN/LSH or CP/KRJ or the JPN duos.
    MD hard to predict
    who are they fielding? Bodin/co??

    ,exactly
(IDK if that was intentional) but you missed DEN :D that's all team IND needs
INA won't be thta strong this time, with WD and XD gone considerably weak in the absence of Maheswari and LN's injury. Not to mention not so strong MS and very weak WS, any major team will thrash INA. alas, they have always been my fav team apart from IND ofc.

It wasnt, I just forgot to mention them :D
But INA has some strong doubles - in all 3 disciplines. And Jordan/Susanto can be dangerous to any pairing, so it's never am automatic loss, and they should win the MD against almost all others. But yeah, their singles are far from strong and stable :D
I'd say their MS is not that much behind IND, very inconsistent, but also quite dangerous to a lot of players.

If India plays Denmark at Group stage, definitely, they can't afford to choose any other Men's singles player other than Victor. Even if Victor played, there is no guarantee.
Jan has definite failure against prannoy.
Victor has negative h2h against Ajay . Srikanth also will upset him with the current form.
WS- weak compared to indian WS.
XD - Aswini/ Sumeeth defeated pederson/Joachim this year.
MD- satwik/Chirag dragged this pair to 3 close games this year.
WD - definite win for Denmark.

This is team event. Anything can happen.

My pick. Most balanced team out there.

If one of their players comes up short, they can win on the rest of the ties.

He and FHF can play against the weak one hehe. It's not right to leave the captain-to-be behind

At the end of the day, it was much ado about nothing on the Lu Kai / Liu Kai affair.

By the BWF regulation, only the 20-player list submitted by May 5 matters. Anything before that was just that.

LXR's absence is no surprise as she said so herself a few weeks ago. Not sure why YXH was not picked to complete the 20-player squad. She is not that important to the team but not being selected could be an ominous signal about her future.

Good to post the list but have to give full names for us to understand. I only knew few people in that list. Please give us the full list with full names. I don't know some of the young Chinese players' names.

    Yeah, a false alarm.

And, right, why not give Yu Xiaohan a chance, just being picked is a morale booster for her, even if she sits on the bench throughout ? Revealingly, when Tang Jinhua who is not 100% match fit is selected, why not Yu Xiaohan ?

Li Xuerui will have a lot to catch up when she finally returns to the circuit.
