Awesome job, man. I'm glad we got this whole experimentation thing started around here. I'm wondering what people will think of next! (Shh, it's the colors...)

    You’re right:)

I am surprised that they weren’t the same colour.

Mind you, I remember having BG65 in dark colours. Didn’t like them at all and switched back to the lighter colours. The feel just felt different.

It was the same for me with BG80 - for some reason I always thought the dark blue played best, and I tried ALL the colours.

And there was a very rare graphite-grey Nanogy 95 that played completely differently to the boggo caramel one...

Great write up - super like. I've been pondering as I hear 2 sided arguments and this has cleared many questions.

What is next on the list? Are you going to test more variables like different brand or string type to confirm?

Already running is the same experiment with no pre-stretch vs. 10% pre-stretch. And the first data points are looking very interesting already. :)

Normally I would say that with pre-stretch the stringbed would lose tension less quick compared to no pre-stretch. But now I'm guessing it doesn't make any difference, as with the 1P vs 2P. :)

    Nice testing, btw!

It's really nice to see a little scientific method instead of mumbo jumbo and wishes ! :)

After the pre-stretch vs no pre-stretch, will you do fast pull vs slow pull ?

I don't think so. The difference on the WISE there is so small, no way that this has a significant impact on anything.

When we have a few of these nerdy science stuffs, can we compile a linked list in a sticky for future reference?

No need, Si - I did that one aaaaaages ago, when I first got my WISE. No appreciable difference.

(Well, to playability; it made the stringing take a good five minutes longer. WISE themselves suggest using "fast" for everything other than situations where a difficulty is anticipated, for what it's worth.)
