Maybe BWF trying to cut cost. As they say, locals are cheaper.

Try going to a stadium sometime. They are those on the sidelines, not those at the back.

Thank you for the arrogant reply.

Some tournaments have dedicated moppers, e.g All England.

I was half right yesterday on WS last 16.
4 CHN girls progressed instead of 8.
The one who disappointed me was WSX.
For tomorrow's QF, I predict one left and that is my favourite, WYH.
And I better be right this time.

Not arrogant. Just my poor command of the language. No offense.
I suggested going to the stadium because you may not see it from the narrow angle if you watch on the monitor or tv.

Well, AE is the prestigious one.

Devendra has identified the gap in the senior and junior CHN MS spot on. Wouldnt it be fun if the CBA created a globe trotting batch of juniors below THW and SX who are 20 years and below.
Nothing beats the experience of playing against different opponents in real time. Playing at home against your fellow countrymen is training and nothing more.

I really cant understand the thinking of the decision makers in the CBA on this issue.

Apart from the learning experience for their juniors it will benefit all the other country's badminton playerscompeting against these talented CBA juniors.

Blur and double Blur is all I can say.

LXR has done everybody a big favour, it's up to them to capitalize on it. Same for the HK Open SS next week.

Natural or 'innate' talent is a myth. Whenever anyone mentions 'natural' ability it really irritates me. Unfortunately commentators the world over use it, so it spreads like a cancer to anyone who listens.

I recommend anyone who believes in 'Natural Talent' to read this book

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bounce-Myth-Talent-Power-Practice/dp/0007350546

It's one of the best books I've ever read

We have had a thread on 'bounce' couple of years ago. Very good book.

Natural ability isn't a big a factor as one might think. Way too past it for me though!

come on... LYD/YYS vs QZ/LX is not shown on the tv-court... Instead a match between CHN and JAP which will be over in 30min (or 50min if three sets) without many great rallies. But that is just my opinion as I really can´t enjoy MD with these short rallies.
Todays first MD was exeactly what I love to watch!

Hopefully bw.tv will broadcast all 7 matches. I remember times when they covered 10 matches for QF and 2nd R... No progess unfortunatly. But well, they the quality problem fixed. Really enjoyable to watch the HD videos nowadays.

I think WZM lacks the killer instinct at crucial moments. Having clawed back to 19-all in the 3rd game, he let up a bit, probably wanted to play safe, big mistake, it's over when the opponent fearing defeat double up and play with a greater sense of urgency. It's often the final one or two points that are hardest to win, that's when you must intensify your effort and pursue it single-mindedly.

Well, LXR was physically spent when she retired against WSX recently.

As stated she was too tired to continue. If that was the case, she could have lost here, just like WSX.

On the other hand, her rest could re-energize her for the HK Open and make it difficult for others to beat her.

Wait, I only wrote 4 lines, based on tournament data research ( not WADA tested though ). You rebutted using some 40 lines, 10x as much space. And with such an impressive concentrate of negative vocabulary. That s very unSingaporean...

Justin L may I know where are you from?
Well MZ's impressive win is surely favorable for Ind.. I don't want to see another CL vs PK..
Although MZ is not a loose meat..but he must be tired and PK stands a good chances tommorow..
Sorry for being to biased..I really like CL but want to see PK back in top10
