Venue : Haixia Olympic Sports Centre, Fuzhou-CHN Total prize-money : US$700,000 Fuzhou Time : http://www.worldtimezone.com/time/wt...ma=Find%20Time Order of Play (01.00pm, 2 courts) : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...2490F8-9D1C-4B42-B715-915DAB1DC208&d=20141115 Two home elite shuttlers failed to step up into last four, third seed Wang Yihan and second seed Xu Chen/Ma Jin. Another setback yesterday was defending champion Ahmad/Natsir who unexpectedly lost to local junior Zheng SW/Chen QC. LIVE TV (court 1, 01.00pm) : - Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi (JPN) v Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei (CHN) - Saina Nehwal (IND) v Liu Xin (CHN) - Chou Tien Chen (TPE) v Lin Dan (CHN) - Lu Kai/Huang Yaqiong (CHN) v Yoo Yeon Seong/Eom Hye Won (KOR) - Lee Sheng Mu/Tsai Chia Hsin (TPE) v Chai Biao/Hong Wei (CHN) Japanese world #1 Matsutomo/Takahashi becomes the only one who can deny all CHN WD final tomorrow with the adjacent court Wang XL/Yu Yang will face their younger compatriot Luo Twins. However JPN WD may not have enough strong stamina after played marathon match 96 mins yesterday against their teammates Kakiiwa/Maeda. Liu Xin is the last one standing after upsets from two Wangs and Li XR missed this SSP. She has heavy burden to keep CHN supremacy in this category at homeground fans. Bottom half of draw, the high confidence Bae Yeon Ju will meet JPN young sensation Akane Yamaguchi. The well-improved Chou will try to create something big in his career, none to defeat badminton maestro Lin Dan. It's still fresh from our memory, their last meeting is first round of DEN SSP last month when Super Dan won over Chou in rubber games. Will Chou make it? Other semifinal tie, the giant killer Marc Zwiebler will face another IND player, Kidambi Srikanth who disposed Kento Momota last night. Yoo YS/Eom HW performed really good yesterday despite trailed behind in early first game but they could turn the table. The Korean pair has chance to grab final ticket and challenge top-seed ZZ tomorrow. Chai/Hong who got thrilling match against the Japanese Hashimoto/Hirata will hunt final ticket and may play another rubber games today against Lee SM/Tsai CH. All KOR semifinal, defending champion Lee YD/Yoo YS have slight advantage to move into last round once again.
CTC vs LD is the 3rd match @ 3.00 pm local time. Poor CTC, would he have enough rest time to recover after finishing his 3 games match against Hun Yu this morning at 1.00am ?
In that case, JOJ who last beat Lin Dan, never mind under what circumstances, should be known as Super JOJ. Anybody who beats LD, whether he's fully fit or not, deserves the epithet 'Super' to his name.
Zhao Yunlei seems to get easily irritated by Tian Qing. Every point Tian misses, she gets a brief talk.
Zhao Yunlei is a champion. There is something about champions, that something in attitude and character that differentiates. The same thing that Lin Dan has.
I wonder how MM/AT recover from such marathons.. Yesterday tough contest between the JPN best compatriots was not the only such kind of match..I have seen the WR#1 playing those close really long matches and they often battle pas their opponents.. Well this time its diff they are up against WC and OGC TQ/ZYL...I dont see them turning the tides atleast in this very match..
Again, no context from Gill Clark. The japanese pair are number 1 in 16 tournaments(obviously it is best 10, but more tournaments helps), while Tian/Zhao have played 9, Yu/Wang have played 8. They would have been number 1 had they played 10 tournaments.
TQ is surely the weakest of all..but somehow the JPN pair is not in their element (fatigued !! May be) cannot take any advantage of it
Agree...I really like MM/AT but they miss the attitude and killer instinct which surely an important ingredient of game..
