I was rapped in the knuckles atleast two or three times by Cheung for discussing other sports. So opened it.

No. Verma won a silver. DKs QF match is yet to start. Will be after midnight. Hope she gets to meet Aida Roman.
Feels Karmakar made history BTW. reached WC final. The Padukone/Anand/Mirza of her sport. However don't get expecting a gymnastics revolution at home. Like Padukone or Ramanathan Krishnan, hers is an individual success story, despite the system.

BTW sticking to archery, our country mate Devendra surprised me the other day. You know what he said???
That India is supposedly bad at recurve and good at compound and we don't have any #1s there. I was flabbergasted.

thanks for reminding of karmakar btw. .i watched her in common wealth games i guess and lost track after that and its such a great news that she reached the final. .and i checked it out, deepika is facing some japanese girl in the qf. .don't remember her name though.

but haven't we done well in compound archery in comparison to recurve in recent times.

Compound was never our strength before Abhi. And we have been good/great on recurve since late 80s. That's why Devendra 's comment surprised me.
Autocorrect turned Deepa into feels. Lol.

arjevo Bad news to wake up with Deepika loses her 4th final at the WC Final in 5 years and settles for silver. But luckily for us, she either struggles in the finals or till the QFs and not in the SF like PK.

Still DK has been seeing a shrink since 2012, despite producing superior results than PK, sth PK is yet to do.

Not even close. Not even in the post 1997 version of ever. Slow compared to other contenders of that title and very very breakable.

Obviously A Rods serve is much better than these names? So??? Min Patel was a better spinner than Sachin Tendulkar. By your logic of "greatest" Min Patel must be the greatest cricketer of all time

I don't quite remember him holding more than 90 percent of his games any season in his career. I think he peaked at 78. Poor numbers.

arjevo gr8 news. Pranjala defends Karman's Future Stars title. :) Over to Santina now.
Although I must say I am a bit disappointed in PY, I expected her to win 2-3 junior majors by now, rank top and be at CiCi Bellis's position at WTA rankings.
She has been our biggest hope since the other GVK girl a decade and a half ago. Bigger than Yuki or Rutuja.
Hope she chooses a career on the WTA tour instead of going to college as most Indian female talents do.
