Looking to the style of play I believe even though Vinci/Errani played this year Santina would be the closely battled but #1 duo surely!!
B Matek Sands is really good she just need a perfect partner

    Congrats Santina.
Sad that your partnership will only last one and a half more quarters. :-(
Hope you rejoin forces after RIO.
At least this week Baan didn't disappoint me. After all, he never even contended this week. Lol.
Also thumbs up to Dipa Karmakar and Paras Dogra.

Rio. Clay. Hingis will surely choose her mom's latest protege Bencic (or Bacsinzky if Swiss Tennis Association dictates).
Thought about your Santina vs VinEra match up yesterday. Agree it will be closer than the SanTek days. But to beat in form VinEra, Dania will need to play at her current level, not the 2013 one. I downloaded and watched the match and trust me, yesterday, she could have blasted Aga or Petra of the court in singles too for a set, set and a half; before tiring out. Even Navratilova said she was playing singles at doubles court in the commentary, while Bartoli said that she was hitting harder than Serena, which I found overstatement.

Even I was shocked and I must admit Hingis herself thought a completely diff player was on her side!!
She herself said Sania was everywhere back front sideline everywhere!!
Indeed an overstatement by delighted overanxious Bartoli she always does that no surprise.. But indeed it was like a hit&melt contemp poetry in motion fusion of Fire and ice..
And by mentioning that I remember about player of the year(IND) SM should win it without contention isn't it?
Also are you surprised by Aga winning it? I couldn't believe my eyes when she qualified although when Petra brushed my hopes MaSha I got some vibes that the drought has ended for Aga

I thought Aga will lose 6 straight sets in group stage itself. Infact I am surprised Aga made Singapore. I expected Gabi to win after Renas pullout, but was backing Vee who failed to turn up. Let's hope she wins Zhuhai this week and Rafa wins Paris ( for the 1st time if I am right)

Hingis has a 2 decade history of praising partners to the moon and dumping them without proper notice whenever an upgrade is available. But we needn't worry coz Sania surely would have a plan C in place ( B being Bethanie of course).
I would like watching Sania play with Latisha once. And to be honest, she now is in a position to be to up and COMERS what Huber and Black were to her.

Latisha? Well I would love to watch current form Sania with Kristina Mladenovic although B M Sands always a treat to watch..it'll be interesting if she picks Timea Babos(I like her style) or any Italian but then its highly unlikely to happen

For the same reason she went AWOL since Big w and skilled Singapore. Mak is injured. I hv never seen either Pliskova play. Probably once during Fed Cup, where I wanted to watch Petra and caught one point only. Please brief me on her. Is this her breakout season or was she good in 2014 too?? Sania playing with an Italian would be a disaster. She would require to take language classes from Sonia G. Lol. Coz, none of the Italians will bother learning English.
Remember that match against Nadal (Hamburg probably) where Fognini kept speaking to umpire and Nadal in Italian despite ump asking him repeatedly to speak in English.

And Mladenovic will reach singles top 5 by end of 2017 of retire/fizz out like Vaidisova. So no SanMla for sure. KM has all the requirements to succeed in WS, plus the confidence, body lingo and attitude and a top mentor in Nestor.

When the 2014 season concluded, Pliskova had orchestrated her first top-50 finish, comfortably ensconced at No. 24 after winning two of her three career tour titles -- Seoul and Linz -- during the year.
She is a powerpack performer. In fact many peepz debate her serving skills with that of Rena

She should quit, if she fails to. given that she has a complete game barring maybe stamina.
Anyways after Pennetta, Vinci is retiring too. And Errani is a top tenner in singles too. So....
