I assume his top priority is the WC and maintaining his WR1 position is temporarily relegated to the background. I'm keen to see how he performs vis-a-vis all the four potential CHN MS WC opponents in the INA Open; hope to see him match up with either Lin Dan or Chen Long or both, perhaps with Wang Zhengming too.
LCW doesn't need the WR 1 too much anymore since he's held it for about 4 years. All he needs now are the BIG TITLES, and the time for it is limited as he is getting older.

Whereas LCW won in 2008 but chose to miss this year's competition, LD has to prove that he is still able to capture this relatively SO minor crown. Well, after a long holiday, Olympic Champion LD certainly has a tall order to fill despite LCW's absence, no less from his China compatriots Chen Long et all, unless team order is again brought into play. At least past Olympic Champion Taufik Hidayat won twice, the first more than a decade ago in 2001! But will double-winner "superman" Boonsak of Thailand be willing to relinquish his title? Whatever the outcome, Boonsak is expected to give his all to defend his crown for a record third win and his recent fine form during the Sudirman Cup suggests that he is not likely to give up. With such a stellar MS lineup, SO 2013 is a tournament not to be missed! See you there.
