ADVISE: For those you do not have ticket, do not bother come to Guangzhou...it is very tough and the scalpers will sell tickets more than 10 times...
yesterday's match was 30 yuan and 80 yuan only, they asked for 400 yuan and 500 yuan. I saw it my self that 2 person bought Football match between CHN vs MAS for 1000 yuan each..thats crazy.

Eventhough the stadium was half empty yesterday, Zhang Ji Wen (now Badminton organizing committee) said most tickets bought and could not understand why not many showed up.

I like Guangzhou city this time....less car..really less car....very clean...but tanks are very visible and with mnay military cars in each stadium and some streets...security is very very strict...no compromising...
Even LYB, Tian Bing Yi's car was checked manually and thoroughly...even LYB was search as well...China takes it very seriously...

For those think they can watch BIG SCREEN....forget it about Badminton...you cant even cole close as they set up vehicle screening on each gate and about 200 to 300 meters outside stadium....

My advise is you do not have ticket..very TOUGH..

Asian Village is about 45 kms ( 1 hour by bus) outside the city and many told me it was boring...some asked me to get DVDs from Hong Kong so they watch on their spare time

Trains from Shen Zen to Guangzhou is almost every 10 minutes and costs 80 yuan..many good 3 stars hotel around Guangzhou East Station and not too expensive.

Speaking of scalped tickets, do hcyong and uncle Loh know how much are they selling (and ripping people of) for the MS Final ticket? (LD vs. LCW)..i bet it must be quite astronomical..:p

not so high.for A ticket(600 rmb),average price would be 1500.It is not that difficult to find ticket around 1200~1300RMB.someone telephoned me and told me that he want to sell his tickets at 700rmb/ticket.
