I think India gambles a bit. IND team knows that they can't beat CHN team. In order to progress to QF, IND team needs to win against MAS team (the reverse is true as well). To not fielding the best line-up possible in such a crucial match is quite risky. But, then, it may be part of the IND team's plan.

That match wouldn't even matter. 5-0/4-1 is same. Sameer has played fairly well against SYQ.

Srikanth has better prospect against Shi YQ than Sameer Verma but most likely China would field Chen Long tomorrow, we'll see.

I don't think China has bold move to field Shi YQ against Srikanth, unless Chen Long is unfit or injured.
    H-2-H stats :
Shi Yuqi v Kidambi Srikanth, 1-4
Chen Long v Kidambi Srikanth, 6-1

SV lost the game ..dunno what's up with him though..I mean he normally plays pretty good game but in this seems he's just not interested with those silly errors.

and I don't think he can afford to play with a king attitude like this unless he makes a billion ofcorse..! may be he's injured duno

Lee Zi Jia play much better today than against SYQ. India should put Kidambi against Malaysia.

Sameer Verma looks helpless, too passive.

He successfully make Lee JZ out of gas, but today he was prone to make mistake. if the match can prolong to deciding game, Verma will win 100%.

11-16 in game 2, the chance was still on.

Sameer had a very bad strategy. Keep on defending all the time. Extremely disappointed with him today. India made a huge blunder fielding him knowing he had lost the only encounter against Lee before.

Who will decide the players. Head coach?
Or players has a say in it?
Sameer played like he was in a practice match. No initiative and no aggression. Simply defending and giving initiative to the opponent. How come he will win a match?

Indeed, few unforced errors, Lee ZJ can anticipate Verma shots well in many long rallies.
    MAS levels the scoreline, 1-1.
