I must say this stadium is totally wrong for Badminton.

The crowd is too huge for a closed hall, and the crowds are seated right infront of players.

There is too much noise. I have watched many games, but there is never so much noise.

That is what the players love about istora actually... The noise is the fun part.

BTW.. Thank god for HD technology nowadays.... How can i (or maybe we) follow those rallies without the replays.. Blazingly fast. Mainly this match... (Zhang nan Zhao Yunlei Vs Ahmad-Natsir)

I know they warm up for some 2 hours before a match, but the chinese seem to take time to warm up into a match... INA leads in the mean time...

I think Zhang Nan is overstretched doing double duty, I believe the CHN coaches will be watching to see if he can manage; if not, they won't allow him to do it for the Olympics. Besides, Zhao YL is also playing both WD and XD, not a good idea as both the players are affected physically.

Also at the CHN Taipei Open, the golden couple looked jaded and suffered a rare defeat. We'll see.

Again, only if you are on the right side of the crowd.

I think crowd should have a role, but here the crowd is too near, too loud.

I don't recall even Football having such noise. Maybe because the crowds are seated far away, that too in an open field.

The crowd is booing when the CHN is serving, that didn't happen during the previous rounds, I thought.

Why booing the CHN? I heard the umpire saying something to ZN about giving him a card, but can't hear why.

The umpire for this match is way better than the last. Spoke with ZN cos he thought ZN was taking his time and will give a card if they continue to delay the game.

Not really. Being cheered at and being cheered against have different effects on different people really. But for the tight spaces... Maybe that is right. And remember: Zhang nan and Zhao Yunlei won this match before in Indonesian open. With this kind of crowd.
