I think Nagahara has improved, more willing to attack both from rear and front court. Matsumoto on the other hand, a little too passive... her racket head preparation looks lazy in comparison, which is quite frustrating cause she has the height to intercept and go for big smashes

If li/liu win their match then all the defending champion have a chance to retain their title here.

    Would you believe it?
In world juniors few years back, Siril verma defeated both Anders Antonsen and Kantaphon in quarters and semis and won silver, before losing to chinese taipei player. But Siril verma is nowhere seen in the circuit. But these two are doing excellent.

Feels like Antonsen is playing too defensive. He is using the same playing style against Chen Long yesterday. But this style may not be good against Kantaphon because Kantaphon likes to attack.

If AA continues playing like this to the end, then he is the one

So maybe it's nerves for Kantaphon in the opening set. Or maybe Kantaphon played above his level against Srikanth and CTC and Kantaphon has fallen back to earth.

I thought Antonsen was in a bad spot when Kantaphon tied it 10-10 but Antonsen was able to regain his composure and finish off the first set. Let's see what happens in the second set.

It is as if AA is using the first 5 mins to feel his opponent and now he is confidently going on the attack as he is sure his defensively ability can deal with KW's attack and counterattack

“It’s going to be a bit different, I will give my 100 per cent. The rest I don’t know. That should be fine. There’s not much of strategy, because we know each other’s game, we play each other all the time. It’s just that on the court, every point matters.” Said Sindhu about tomorrow's final

“Sindhu brought her A-game today,” shrugged Chen Yu Fei, after being on the receiving end of the demolition job in the semifinals of the TOTAL BWF World Championships 2019. “I wasn’t speedy, I couldn’t adjust physically, I couldn’t get my energy level up for this match as I was a bit tired after yesterday’s match. Sindhu was very speedy today and was at 100 per cent.”

But i have to say, Sindhu also had long long match against world no. 1.

Superb retrieving by AA though he lost the point in the end thanks to KW's relentless attack

what are the benefits of saving up energy or playing conservatively for something 11.5 months from now?

if something happens to you 6 months from now, oh lets say 2/24/2020, would you regret not having gone all out at the wc final back on 8/25/2019?

    you can't predict the future.
i'd be going all out tomorrow.

Okuhara said about the finals "“Sindhu is very strong for big matches, she has been in the finals of the World Championships and Olympics. This time again she’s in the final, it’s amazing. But I will try hard and I’m looking forward to the final,”
